Lou. Holy Cross @ Bethlehem

Featured Replies

This game should be one of the better first round rematches. Holy Cross had their egos bruised this year and look resurgent the last 3 weeks. Bethlehem was rolling along and then got thumped by Bardstown and should have a chip on their shoulder. Eagles should get Kaylin Williams back this week. He sacked Nauert to end this game mid-season and preserve the Eagle victory. Field conditions will be critical. Thoughts?

I like Holy Cross to rebound and win a physical game. should be another battle.

HC 24

Beth. 14

Holy Cross 13

Bethelem 21

I like Holy Cross in this one.

Tough end to a great season for the Eagles.

HC 19

Bethlehem 18

I too like the Cougars; they are getting hot, and the Eagles are in the way. Looking for a potential rematch of Holy Cross and Bardstown. I will say:

Cougars 27

Eagles 12

Bethlehem continues to get no respect. This is just where they like to be. I will be interested in how the split game the first time around effected the teams. I have heard two angles one stating that it helped Bethlehem because of their lack of depth and on saying it helped Holy Cross because their hogs up front were getting tired. Any thoughts?

I think Holy Cross rights the ship in the rematch....HC 21 B 7

Bethlehem in a dandy, 21-20.

I think Bethlehem took more advantage of the time in order to scout film and make adjustments. I have been told HC did not do that. For the most part, Bethlehem's offense was ineffectual. They had one score on a nice kickoff a return, and another when they were given the ball at the HC 7 yard-line. Bethlehem's running game got very little; it was actually swing passes that opened it up, and defense that won it.

I am very concerned about this one.

Right now they are horrible. The field was trashed during the Bardstown game, and then it rained again yesterday. I expect the footing to be soft, at best.
