Everything that was told was out in the open you can ask anyone associated with the area schools too. It was very open that the young lady quit because she didn't think she was getting enough playing time as a freshman. It is also a known fact that out of the goodness of coach Kidwell he allowed the young lady to rejoin the team. It is also a well known fact again that she and her sister quit the team to go to Rose Hill. Everyone wants fact and want to know where you got them, and then when you hear them its an attaack on the young lady. Or your mom shoudn't make it a habit to talk about the kid away from school. Like I said before none of this has anything to do with grades, SSN, where the girl lives, or her disciplinary actions at school. It is all about what actually happened and the way she handled herself. But to say my mom is unprofessional you all must be obsurd. Everything mentioned in the previous post is all well known facts and was even in the local papers. Sorry you all can't take the truth and from now on if you can't handle it don't ask for it. As for an average player and that is all she is. With the above average attitude which she has openly displayed that to on the court and to the Russell coach.

Did anyone ever think that the kids attitude on and off the court had anything to do with the voting. From what I was told From a source(My Mom) that works at Russell is that Britt had a very bad attitude and quit the team at Russell two times(once because she didn't think she was getting enough playing time as a frosh). The kindness in Kidwells's heart he allowed her to rejoin the team. After which her and her sister quit again and then went to Rose Hill. If you don't think that attitudes play a role in award voting then you have a very obscure way at looking at it. From all I can gather Britt is an average ball player with a way above average attitude problem, that is probably what lead to the not getting on the all area team. Just a veiw point of looking in from the outside.

Not trying to be a jerk but I thought this is about Bluegrass Preps not Buckeye Preps? Congrats to the young lady but lets not forget about the young ladies here in Kentucky that are doing well also.

Great article!!! But even better than that 2 classy young men who know how to play the game as teammates. They both admit that they would not be as good without each other. The best part that is not even mentioned is the rest of the team that can step up with one of them having a bad game. Scott Co. is the best basketball team in the state. People can say all they want but Scott Co. has beaten everyone but 2 teams Top 10 national ranked teams and split the 2 games with HHS. FP30 I am not talking about the previous coach hurting Lorenz. If it sounded that way it wasn't meant that way. I was meaning this years coach hurt Lorenz. You are right about others going to Morehead and Union, but there is a BIG difference between those 2 schools and The Blue and Maize. Not to knock 1AA or smaller schools, but they don't hold a candle to Michigan. I also know a few boys are not playing this next year that played last year because of the coach.

That none of the players are Div. 1 or 2. That is nothing but bull hockey. I guess that is why the Pettitt kid is being wooed by Michigan. Because he is not Div. 1 or 2 material. Let me tell you this the coach at PC has lost a few of his players because he is has no clue. As stated before several kids are referrinf to the previous coach for recruiting purposes.( I believe he is in Tenn now) from what I heard he hurt the Lorenz kid too. I think the school need to get rid of the idiot and find a real coach before PC goes back to not having a football team. I believe if he stays one more year they are headed straight to no football.

Yoda I agree that Station can beat the Cards but for as much as whipping a little far fetched if you ask me. I have see the boys play a few times, and I don't think there is a team in the state that can whip the Cards. I think there are a few teams capable of beating them, but no team in the state can Whip them.

Your right Bell but the best part about it is you have a player that can come in and give you some spark in Phares. The kid is a frosh or sophomore( not sure) and a few people i talk to say he is the future of the team. The kid is explosive to the basket and won't back down from anyone.

You are right he did have a right to be upset. But it appears he is whining about not getting the ball( you can't deny that) As far as a HS player talking to the media, and blaming the refs and coach and calling out his teammates. Come on I don't care who you are it is called whining in any language.They think they are an NBA team out there, and there play shows it. If you are going to be the best you have to be disciplined and play as a unit not 2 or 3 individuals. He has no right to be mad at the coach it's rather hard to coach egos. He had no right blaming anyone especially to the media.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bust his butt everytime he jumps either. Can you say that they would have definitely won? No you can't, so quit whining and deal with it. Scott Co. is a good team and beat a good team. So I look for Scott Co. to give them another good game and hopefully beat them again. This time without Mayo so we can see what cry baby can do. Where did you watch it in the Huntington area? I was at the game i saw the calls. They let Mayo and Patterson get away with alot( but they are special can't call anything against them now can we) Mayo continuously carries the ball and Patterson likes to dance in the lane with the ball. No walks called on him.

Was you there did you see the game? If not then don't make judgement calls on hearsay. Patterson is nothing but a big BABY. I guess the we didn't play like a team statement wasn't about him not getting his touches. You know as well as I do it was and don't lie to yourself about it.

IMO Patterson is nothing but a cry baby. Whining about the officials. If this is the type of player he is I would much rather have Stewart or Pettigrew. They are more team oriented. Instead of I didn't get my chances Boo Hoo.

Good Luck Lady Rams. These girls are a very tough team. I wish I was off tomorrow, because I would be there. If all goes well I will be there friday when they play again. Coach Trimble is a good coach, it has carried over from his days as a player. I wish the girls the best.

I think in North East KY you are correct with the girls from LC, Paintsville, and Raceland.

I think the poll looks good. I think any of the teams in 1-10 can cause a major problem for anyone in the regional tourney. You have your top 4 or 5, and thats typical. The next 5 is capable of taking any of them out at any time in district play, or even a first round matchup in the regional. MSU will be a wild place to be come a few weeks down the road.

I guess it caught my eye with the " a lot of calls go their way" comment. Just sounds like a cop out, if it wasn't i apologize.

I think this is gonna be a good game. I think if the Rams throw together another game close to what they played against Rose Hill the Lions will be in for a long night. The Rams won the first one and may be in the heads of Elliott Co. I hope they come in focused and ready to play. I truly think Coach J will have the young men ready to take on anyone Saturday night.
