I really thought Ballard would pull it off. Scott County does what so many favorites have proven unable to do: win with the target on their back.

Congrats Scott Co, a brutal schedule, the target on their back all year and they not only win State, but they go unbeaten against Kentucky teams.

 

Their two losses against teams who dominated and won their own state championships. Just an outstanding job.

Simply put, Mackey wasn't going to let them lose.

I listened on the radio and it seemed like Ballard controlled most of the game with a 5-8 point lead all the way. I was suprised to get on and see that Scott won the game. Ballard has one heck of a tough defense.

First time seeing either team, Scott Co looked like they had a bit of dead legs, didn't really shoot well but Mackey took over down the stretch. SC could have put the game out of reach much earlier but they really struggled from the stripe. Congrats to Scott Co.
