  1. I kmow FHS has bigger fish to fry. But these games should keep the guys focused and eager to earn bragging rights. I put what little money I got on Coach Buckett and FHS. They have some nore to prove. Best wishes on the season from the other panthers north of you.
  2. Best of luck to David. NOT a slam on the kid. Based the linebacker mention due to that is the position I believe he plays (if noy true, apalogize).
  3. I am sorry. No disrespect to David he is a great running back, who runs very hard and deserves every yard he gets but, you are not going to be a linebacker in the SEC at Auburn 5'10 200lbs. Most of the DB's and safeties are that size. Check some rosters.
  4. EJ will more than likely play db or receiver. He does not throw the ball very much. Not saying he can not. But with wheels like his I would run him also. Coach Buckett could best answer the question!
  5. Who across the state has received early offer(s)? Who from and what level?
  6. Carroll County - Dave Miller and Marc Mumphrey - Miller gets the slight nod because he took his team to state Pam Browning - She was as good as any guy in H.S., and is in the UK hall of fame, and played in the pros
  7. Not to be Debbie downer, but, do we really need any further reminder of the Trinity power and excellence. Congrats!
  8. did we not already go through this a month or so ago
  9. All of the prayers and well wishes we can give from Carroll County
  10. This was the 19th ranked team in the state (Oldham). All depends who is on the hill. As previously stated, this CArroll team had Ballard beat at Uof L and had Beechwood beat at home. Depth in pitching and some costly base running at times are the difference in the Panthers Having a 18 - 20 win season. Had a great time at the game. Anderson has nice facilities and super folks running the show. PA man is the best in the region.
  11. Big WIN for the Panthers! Glad to see the 31st represented well. Good Job Owen!
  12. Keep the girls the same and move the boys back. Whatever the international line is for girls and guys is what the line should be. Prepare for the Olympics! Because what is more important than winning GOLD for your country, at least as far as sports go.
  13. Girdy from Carroll County - Super fast and quick! She is a pit bull on D.
  14. FAST FAST FAST and did I mention evasive. Almost at sub 11 - 10.9 100 speed and watched him toy with people in the 400 the other day. Just glad we do not have to deal with him anymore. Super nice kid! Would not suprise me if he runs track and not even mess w/ football. If you like a "Vick" style Qb the Welch kid from Carroll although not as fast as Fields, has strong feet and arm and can move an offense.
  15. Overuse of the three due to lack of inside presence and ability to get the ball inside. Also, the other points mentioned that the girls game has not devloped to where girls come off screens and pop or off the dribble. Do not get me wrong, there are girls capable but they are few and far between. It has to be taught at the lower levels.
  16. Brett tore the acl, mcl, and patellar tendon in the knee. He is now in a brace and putting full weight on the leg and walking. Have heard that he will be red shirted next year to fully rehab.
  17. Daniel Rose of Carroll County - He is a leg churning machine. Gets yardage that he should not on pure determination. He runs behind a much smaller line than most and still averages 5-6 yds per carry. Would make a great fullback for someone at the next level. Probably has two of the strongest legs in the state. I have seen him box squat over 700 lbs. Reps 405 for 10 parallel reps with little strain!
  18. Keith Welch will be returning for his senior year. He did not choose cheerleading over basketball, he chose football over basketball this year. Cheerleading was just something to fill time along with his conditioning. He will be participating all summer to get back with the team. He has been working very hard on both basketball and football this spring season. I do agree that 7th, 8th and frosh tourneys are not overly important in the varsity discussion. They are a point of reference based on the outcome of the tourneys which seem to favor Carroll. But when you factor in experience on the varsity level, Gallatin has really used their underclassmen very well. Coaching is always a factor in these matchups. I think that Carroll County will find it's stride with their coaching staff. As always, this will continue to be a great rivalry that hopefully will be more competitive this year. I think 2007-08 will be a very different year on the hardwood and the gridiron this year for Carroll County.
  19. Great Job Panthers!! They have evolved into a great baseball team. Now they need to get that winning instinct to kick in and pull these games out.
  20. Not hijaking Owen's thunder here, but yes, the 30 day period is almost up. There are some really good candidates. From what I hear, they hope to have the job filled within the next two weeks or so.
