  1. Kudos to Coach Kaufman for Carroll County. He really has his boys ready to play. They looked extremely good against Owen County. Good job!!! :thumb:
  2. Any names associated with this job?
  3. No thank you! I think that would be a lateral step at best, probably two back.
  4. This would be a great opportunity for a young assistant to get there feet wet in a head coach position. You will need to bring fire and passion and a whole lot of discipline to the table. There is enough talent to be competitive and build a program.
  5. AD is posting job and screening committee has been formed. have heard a couple of the assistants are very interested and the rest is a waiting game on applicants. But my sources say the full process will be run.
  6. Thank you for the link Buttels. That is a great article.
  7. Coach Weedman and the other assistant coaches are taking over the spring practices and conditioning. After that, they are opening the job up to taking applications. I don't know if there is a front runner for the job or not. I also do believe that we need to get some new blood in here. A new set of eyes is the number one thing this program needs.
  8. Word is the head coach job is open now. Coach Barry resigned yesterday.
  9. Congratulations Gallatin!! 31st well represented:ylsuper:
  10. I will eat my crow broiled w/a little A-1 on the side. I did pick Owen in this game. Really it was just reverse psychology to get Gallatin fired up (just kidding). It was a great game and victory for Gallatin. Congrats!!! :thumb:
  11. You are right! Sorry I brought it up. Hester won and that is all that matters as the bottom line of player of the year. Owen County by 2
  12. I hate to do this, but I have to pick Owen. The game is being played on neutral court and they have played each other at least 4 times. I think Owen will pull the victory out. I think both Neeley and Duvall have something to prove after controversially not winning POY. Will be extremely close game that could go either way. I hate this is the draw. (If Carroll does not win tonight) I would like to see both teams represent the 31st district in the regional tournament.
  13. I'll eat my crow. Maybe it wasn't Oldham's best game against Carroll County.
  14. Tough loss. Cody Proctor and Jeremy Meadows showed great heart last night. They were both very sick (Meadows had to leave the bench several times during the game and got his nose busted early on); but they played a great game. The seniors (Proctor, Meadows and Riley) played like seniors are supposed to play - with heart, pride and leadership. The sophomore class really stepped up as well. Hendrick, Cable and Allen played a great game.
  15. Congratulations to W'town. They deserve it!!:thumb:
  16. I am going to pick the Cats in this one. When Oldham came to Carroll, they were not as good as I thought they would be. They are very easily forced into turning over the ball and Gallatin's tenacity will be an asset.
  17. this year they are making the transition to "AA".
  18. Yes, he is still cheering. He is finishing that up and playing baseball this year. He also took basketball season off to work on conditioning for football. He has really been hitting he weight room hard in the off season. I think it will payoff.
  19. They are both having great out of season work outs. Welch kid has put on 12 - 15 lbs. and all weight numbers up. We will see come this season just glad the rivalry is back and competitive.
  20. IDK Rose and Welch from Carroll will be suprising.
  21. But you must not forget about ricketts and welch. With Welch coming back look for them to change it up a bit.......:sssh:
  22. Who do you think will be a dynamic duo on the offensive side of the ball for the upcoming season?
  23. I have heard that both Welch brothers will be taking the field this year for the Panthers. I think Keith's bat will be a good asset for the team.
