Wow, 8th Region must be really down because I have seen Carroll County and was not impressed with them at all.

I don't think the 8th region is down, Carroll just played a good game. They have had their good games and bad games. Overall a pretty good season.

Judging by Carroll County's scores on the KHSAA site, it looks to me like they play to their competition.

 

What were the other results from the 8th region?

The panthers definitely play to the level of thier competition. They narrowly escaped with a win against several lesser opponents this season but nearly pulled off wins against powers ballard and beechwood.

Theiss from Oldham took a 2 hitter and 2-0 lead into the top of the 7th. Carroll lead off with two hits and the third batter of the inning hit to short and there was an error on the second baseman allowin the first run to score. A ground out put runners at second and third and then Jessie Proctor hit a two run double to right for the 3-2 lead. A hard hit line drive to second started a double play to end the inning for Carroll.

 

Nick Larimore pitched seven strong innings for Carroll giving up 5 hits.

This was the 19th ranked team in the state (Oldham). All depends who is on the hill. As previously stated, this CArroll team had Ballard beat at Uof L and had Beechwood beat at home. Depth in pitching and some costly base running at times are the difference in the Panthers Having a 18 - 20 win season. Had a great time at the game. Anderson has nice facilities and super folks running the show. PA man is the best in the region.

Larimore is a senior. He has been the backbone for the rotation and today the panthers leather backed him up well making the spectacular plays in addition to the routine ones. He'd be one of the first to give credit to the boys behind him.

Anderson has nice facilities and super folks running the show. PA man is the best in the region.

 

Amen! And their scoreboard is absolutely fantastic. They've made tremendous strides over there during the last few years.

Yes, he has a younger brother that is an 8th grader at CCMS. He does not play on the CCHS team however.
