Who is this guy and what are his credentials. I also heard that they got rid of the assistants as well so is the new guy going to have a staff, are they going to let him hire some coaches, just curious

They went to the playoffs twice and were blown out both times. I'm not sure what the current search will yield, but I don't think Coach U was getting it done.

Hard to make chicken salad out of chicken stuffing. Coach U got the most that he could out of his kids. Also he never went to or was blown out of the playoffs twice.

My apologies. He went once, in 2001, and they lost to Fleming County 55-0. I know Owen was a tough job, but I didn't see him making a lot of progress.

 

As for his firing/removal, whatever, I don't know the circumstances of him losing it.
