If Knox beats Boyd county,@ Boyd next week,( which I believe they will) then the Bobcats will have Knox at Log Mtn. Thanksgivivng weekend, If Boyd beats Knox then Bell will have to travel to Boyd.

In a driving snow/rain storm, yes I said snow, last night Bell defeated Letcher County. Both teams were undefeated for 2 straight years. I will have to say that Letcher gave Bell the best test they have had in 2 years. Great facility, but the officiating, whew! 2 hrs 40 min JV game, unreal. Bell coaches after the game said they called 18 penalties on us and 4 on them. Really no way to do kids. It was way to obivious that they were trying to keep the home teams record in tack. Bell had 4 goal line stands on Letcher. Cody Davenport was a beast. He caught 3 TD's and had 2 int. and at least 10 tackles. Carton had 2 TD'S and ran for 210 yards. Ben Madon was 8 of 9 passing for 212 yds. 3 TD's, and a extra point. Josh Brown was all over the field, again! he added a couple of 2 point conv. Corey Davenport, Scotty Henderson, Dean Clark and Carter o-line, lonnie Miracle, Marsee all played well. Letcher was really big up front and Had a unreal Frosh Q.B. They will make some noise in years to come. But Coach Howard needs to do something about his officiating or he will never get anybody to play then at home.

wow campbell field your 9-0 and you don't think your as good as you where last year. I still think you will handle Somerset. What a great rivalary that used to be in the 70's and 80's.

If you have any influence with the coach and/or administration, talk it up. We are looking for a few games and that would be a great matchup in the mountains. One of the Bell coaches told me they have posted open dates on KHSAA web site. I am going to speak to Dudley tomorrow about it and I will let you know what the status is.

Back to you! I wish all the state champs were from the mountains. I also hope J.C can win the big one, they are without a doubt the best we have seen this year. We all agree with you that the schedule does not work in our favor, hopefully we will get that changed in 09 & 10. Sure would like to see J.C on that schedule, do they have any open dates for next year?

Bell, Middlesboro and Pineville have done it a few times. Not sure of the dates though.

Probably not! But, Mccreary is a district game and Both years Bell has played Sheldon Clark they where undefeated coming into their matchup. When Leslie was scheduled 2 years ago, they where very competive and almost took Bell to the woodshed at their place in 06. Bell survived with a 7-6 or 7-0 win, I can't remember the score exactly, but I do remember that Spencer Greer returned a punt for their only score. Tates Creek historically has had a good to above avg. program in the past and gave Bell all they wanted last year for three quarters, which is why they where put on the schedule. To answer your question, after Bell had been in cruise control for 3 weeks last year it took 3 quarters to wake the Bobcats up. They did go ahead and take care of business last year and hopefully they want wait 3 quarters this year to get going. The starters are not getting tested and that could hurt them in the long run. But, they have a few players injured that are sitting out that would not be sitting out if it was a district or tougher game, so that will help them and the team in the long run, so I guess it is kinda catch 22 situation. We in the Bell County Nation are hopefull that Coach Hilton will get us some exciting match ups for the next 2 years scheduling cycle. I know Harlan County has been added as the last game of the season. Have also been told that we are going to play in a bowl in Marion County. 1st year against Marion, next year against Mercer. I have heard rumors of a possible Highlands match up at E.K.U. Wouldn't that be sweet. We would love to have a match up with Johnson Central, They are the best team we have played all year. J.C Alumni, I heard through the grapevine, don't know for sure, Coach Hilton has tried to get something hooked up with you guys to, Would like to travel over there to play on that new turf, Awesome place to play. The only thing is I don't get to make the schedule but, I am hoping and eargily awaiting to see who the Bobcats are going to be playing the next few years. Bell looses 13 talented seniors next year, but I think they will have the kids to be very competetive the next few years. :thumb:

Starters didn't come out of the locker room at halftime. J.V. & Frosh. played 2nd half. They put up 16 points in second half on continous clock, plus they fumbled one on the 3 yard line. 10 different players scored. Greer was the only one with 2 T.d.

I heard that he was considering HUNK at tailback and CARLOS at the 2 back with Henry at fullback. Makes about as much sense as someone raising this question in the middle of this current season. The players need to concentrate on the present season, not the future, this teams really controls their own destinity. They have the personnell to win the big one, but do they have the want to, desire to bring the second state title back to log Mtn. Stay tuned, only time will tell.
