Corbin had their way in the 7th grade game. Another reason why the high school series should continue. It seems to me that each team has traded victories within the middle school the past few years, if you use that as a measuring stick. So let the series cotinue!

Thanks Hound82 for your insight. I hope you and the Corbin faithful can talk this rematch up for many years to come. If the game two weeks ago wasn't enough reason for this series to continue, then nothing ever will be.

Bell middle already beat Corbin in a scrimage earlier in the season by at least 4 touchdowns Bell middle is really tough this year they beat a Clay County team that has not lost a game in 3 years so it will be a good one at the end of the year when these two teams play.

I might have a solution to this whole thing. When Corbin comes to Middlesboro friday night. Why not let Coach Hilton and Coach Greer take on Coach Jewel and Coach Farris in a tag team match on Pineville's field Friday before they both play. Coach Jewel and Farris can go on to Middlesboro and Coach Hilton and Greer can go back to log mtn. to play their games that night. Pineville plays on saturday so their field will be open for friday afternoon and let's get this thing settled. I bet you when Madon & Cashen went to Corbin they never thought they wouldn't have a chance to play Bell their senior year. But, Corbin wasn't doging anybody then. I am glad M'boro and Corbin are in the same district next year or that incredible series would probably be over. :fight: :thumb: :eek: :madman:

I would really like to know what it is that seems to be the problem. I have heard 2) Corbin dosen't want to play Bell Because they can't beat them. 3) corbin coaches don't like Coach Hilton & Coach Greer- a former Rehound himself. 4) Bell is too Physical! 5) Bell's middle school program is too strong and will not be able to compete in the future. 6) Corbin dosen't have room on the schedule. I just really want to know because I hear so many different things. Over the past 50 years of play between Corbin and Bell I would bet that Corbin probablly holds a 35-15 series advantage if not more.

Do you know what that does to the SEKC? Will there be one anymore with middlesboro & Corbin not playing Bell. Plus Clay County going to 5A they will not be playing Bell & Knox anymore. If Corbin schedule is like you say it is, then they will not be playing anyone in the SEKC. Are they playing Pineville in the Grid again?

What would you have done if you were offered the opportunity he had. He is 3-1 at a very good 5A FOOTBALL SCHOOL. He dosen't teach any classes during football season. He is paid very very good. He is averaging over 30 points a game and he is at a school that loves football. :dancingpa

I understand that Whitley maybe playing Bell next year. I was wandering what the problem is that you are refering to between Bell & Corbin. Was it the T.R. christopher situation or is it that they don't think they can play with Bell anymore?

I would have to say zachery/Bell, Madon/Corbin, Adams & Farr/Middlesboro and Combs/Pineville are all up at the top. Excellent hands,hard nose kids,great attitudes hard to beat young men.

I hope you are right about Trinty, St. X and Male, but I doubt you will see all of them on anybody's schedule in Ky. Those three will play each other. and each will play out of Louisville some, but not all three on Corbin's schedule or Bell's or middlesboro or Highland's or Boyle's or whoever else you can think of.

Middlesboro never really survived the drop into Class A. They seemed to get stuck in the class. I can remember the days they played Somerset and corbin and tates creek and handled them with ease. What has happened to them? Corbin seems to have fallen from grace a little ever since they started playing in the west 2A district. But, they still played tough teams. There has to be something going on behind the lockeroom that someone is not telling for Bell and Corbin / Bell and Middlesboro / Pineville and Middlesboro not play anymore. what's in the water in Bell county?

I know in the past, when you looked up the definition of football, it was followed by Corbin football with a footnote: Middlesboro Yellow Jackets. My how times have changed. I certainly hope they can get this straightend out.

Somerset will be in overdrive by the time the Green dragons roll in. The Dragons have a great team this year but they will be outmatched by the BRIAR JUMPERS. Jumpers win by 4 touchdowns.

Is there anyone out there that can give me the true answer about the future of this great series. I have been told that Corbin has refused to play Bell because they did not play in their bowl game at the begining of the year. Does anyone know what is going on with these two teams? There is no doubt that the game two weeks ago was a very exciting and competitive game. I was told that there was a standing room only crowd with alot of good football played and the final score showed that. Will this also mean the end of the SEKC as we have know it for 30 plus years? I never thought I would live to see the day that Corbin, Middlesboro & Pineville would no longer play Bell county. Do Corbin & Middlesboro have their 2007 schedules finished yet? I also hear their will be no more Middlesboro/Pineville games. Can anyone confirm? What a sad day for Mtn. football fans if this is true!

Somerset will win this matchup 56-21 and go on to win the district, followed by Harlan, Lynn camp, Williamsburg. Where does somerset play Harlan?

I certainly realize that the debate here is the corbin/Middlesboro game and I think it will be a great game. But, I am trying to confirm some info. that I got last week, that the the Bell-Corbin game series, has for sure, been canceled. Did it have anything to do with Bell not playing in Corbins Bowl game. I was told if they did not play in the bowl game that corbin was not going to schedule them. My understanding was that Bell was were under contract with Morristown East & West for the next couple of years. Anyone have any inside on that?
