I too would be very surprised if he jumped ship. Sounds like a good senerio for a pay raise at Trinity. He certianly deserves it....

It seems to me that the dropoff between 3 and 4 is quite substiantial...

Never said anything about a "hardest" schedule. Some teams play a "softer" schedule, no big deal. One should not feel slighted or upset for the schedule they play.

Will the BGP Rankings be updated throughout the season?

I absolutly had no input in these rankings. As most folks know that have been around a few years, rankings are mostly based on previous performance ( a little credit to returning starters etc. ). Having said that and the recent track record that Rocks bring to the table, HOW in anyones world can the Rocks not be No. 1??? Just dont understand it... only can say it is staged to sell more BGP memberships etc. LOL.... As for the Tigers, it is a nice honor, wont get you a cup of coffee or anything like that... We all know the final ranking is the TRUE Ranking... Same ole same ole. Male, Manual and St.X make up the most difficult DISTRICT in the state. Maybe playing a weaker schedule does pay dividens in high school football....

Guys you know where I coming from.... Come on, Six out of the last seven..... There is only one team that can sand bag...... With the All Americans etc. its Trinity's to lose this year. You can slice and dice it anyway you want but the recent history speaks louder than all of the Rock faithful BGP posts combined....... Good Luck had have a great season. :scared:

No discussions with Lou Holtz. It seems that the expectations are so high for another banner year. They should be with the recent track record. Will the 2008 squad go undefeated and achieve the goal? I would anticipate that many would be dissappointed with anything less. Will Smyth (sp?) break the records of Stein, Brohm? That is a lot of pressure to live up to, yet I think he will do a fine job this season. Beatty always finds a way to come up with the key player at the QB position.

I dont know anything about the internal workings of the FC program, however, I was at the first half of that Ryle game and I have never seen a team fall apart as they did in that game. If I remember right, the first 5 offensive "touches" resulted in four turnovers.... Lets hope that they can overcome this and get back on track.

I can remember back in the "big game" in the late 70's early 80's that one team (when wearing white) would use cotton T shirts for their QB and RB only. The jerseys obviously had to be replaced several times during the games... Now the T shirts had the players number and all so it was "legit" however, I have always reserved the right to feel that this was a true reflection of ones lack of "class". Does anyone else recall this...?

Just seems as if it would be somewhat difficult to keep the parents "happy"... with their son, being a JR or Sr. and playing JV ball. Everyone knows JV is a Soph level. It would seem somewhat difficult to understand that if you son was a Soph and he would not be allowed to play until his Sr year.... BUT, if it is in the best interest of the "program" then by all means the practice is embraced by Sr parents... Just some food for thought during this summer season.

With so many QB's will Trinity play the Juniors on the JV level again this year?

More blocked punts.... More kickoffs returned for TD's..... Both should add more excitment to the game from a fan perspective.....

I agree with all of the above. Just wanting more competition from the Bluegrass region..... The idea of stronger scheduling would be a step in the right direction as well. Yes it may yield more L's however, if lessons are learned, they very well could make a more competitive team come November...

Can the 6A programs in Lexington compete in the playoffs with the Louisville 6A's? Wondering if the Lexington schools will get over the hump this year...

How are the Tigers doing in the 7 on 7 competitions?

^ They are opening at home vs Ballard for the second year in a row due to "financial" concerns on Ballards behalf. Its not a P vs. P thing, its a $$$ thing. I find that to be very interesting. Hope the Tigers can build on a solid year last year and position themselves to be no 2. Just don't see any one giving the Rocks a run for their money... Tigers are not blessed with the best RB, LB and QB in 6A this year. Good yes, but not the best. That 35 - 2 playoff record is just untouchable.....
