Roc - Welcome to the BGP's. You have lost all credibility with that last post. LOL. Anybody who says the Rocks are not favored in 2008 has to have been sleeping the last several years..... Rocks will be No. 1 till someone beats them in November or December. Lately, no one can step up and accomplish this.....

If my memory serves me right, in the Championship game, Trinity had a one run lead in the 7th inning against Owensboro, with 2 outs and 1 out away from their first ever state championship in baseball. The batter popped up to the third baseman in foul territory, (yet a routine, catchable ball) and the ball popped out of the glove of the third baseman. The third baseman had very clearly called off all other fielders and had to wait for the ball to drop... The next batter for Owensboro, hits a 2 run shot over center field wall to win the game. I'm sure that is one many folks want to forget.

You know, just like T-ball. Everyone plays and has fun yet the score is not "officially" kept. All games end in a tie. This way it builds character and develops are youth..... Do you think the KHSAA will adopt this system for Football??? Check one: 2008 2009 2010 What a joke. Pretty soon I would anticipate that they will not allow you to pass on third down....... :laugh::laugh::laugh:

The Tigers need to do it on the playing field.... Preseason hype and accolades get you nothing. The goal must be won on the field.

MS - IMHO Hall was exceptional in the secondary last year for the Tigers. I thought he played as hard nosed d-back as we have had for several years. Quickness, judgement and toughness in making contact were very, very good for a junior... Im sure the coaches will make the right call, I just hope that if he is moved to LB, there will be someone who can fill his role as DB. I'm more in favor of the speed and quickness at the LB spot than the size issues... This is really a good problem to have, trying to figure out where to exploit the talents of the players.... Looking forward to the 08 season.

^ 6' 200 lbs is a nice size LB. What one might lack in size, brings speed and quickness that are greater weapons than size alone. Plus, I have a thought that he may gain a pound or two between now and August....

^ I would think that we would see some improvement in 2 years. May not win the region, but possible knocking on the door is not an unrealistic possibility.

I like the idea as well, just wonder who the supporting cast will be...? Also of concern, who fills the void at safety...?

Hopefully the positive impact will be noticed early next season. As far as the results in competing (winning...) with traditional 7th region powers in the regional tournament, I would say at least a couple of years. Who knows, time will tell. Should be exciting for Tiger basketball. New arena and new philosophy and all.....

Who are potential candidates to see LB play for the Tigers in 2008? Both of those positions should be open after graduating the predecessors to Annapolis and West Point.

^ OX, nice accessment of 6A at this point. With Trinity winning 6 out of the last 7, they are my preseason No. 1. Someone has to step up and beat them in November or December. As of late, no one can do that. Until X does it, or anyone else for that matter, the Rocks have the bullseye square on their chest. We X fans can talk about this and that, but the reality is that the job must be done on the field. Until it happens, we are playing for 2nd place.

If X is fortunate enough to win it all in 2008, great. It would not bother me at all if Trinity supporters, or any other school for that matter, claimed / felt they had the "best" team. I can respect others support and judgment for their team(s), however, their acknowledgement and endorsement of my teams accomplishment as "best team" is not necessary in my book.

Well we are 90 + post into this thread and many folks have not addressed the thread topic. Who do you think will win 6A in 2008? A couple of x supporters have said they think X will. Maybe one or two Rock supporters have said that Trinity will win again. Doesn't seem to be a concenses among either side. Not much input brought to the table outside of Jefferson Co.. Anyone have some projections from Lexington area, N. KY or Western KY??? Maybe remaining below the radar is the right way to go..... Kinda surprised that the majority of the Rock supporters are not jumping on the "19" bandwagon. Just an observation...

St. X would welcome a little luck. After having none the last few years, getting some positive luck would be a very good thing. Being in position to finish the season with no significant injuries would be very beneficial as well. Key injuries throughout a season seldom lay the ground work for being lucky.... actually, just the opposite. All injuries aside, a little luck never hurt anyone...

Tigers need not focus on any preceived advantage. The Rocks will be prepared and ready. Tigers need to take care of business start to finish. Then, and only then, can the team demonstrate what they are capable of... After the last few years, one has to anticipate that the lucky charms will be in full force in 2008. Should be a very good year for both teams. Its Trinity's to win. Somebody has to step up and beat them in November or December. Until that happens, everyone else (including St. X) is playing for 2nd place.......

I hope there is no confusion on your part. Trinity won the title games in each of those years. You really don't need me to validate your championships. It really doesn't matter what I think. Im just a fan. Enjoy and celebrate your championships with other Rock supporters. The Trinity community does not need an endorsement from the St. X fans. On to the 2008 season ... :thumb:
