Guys - Lets talk reality here. A lot of folks thought X had the team in 2005. The regular season resulted in a beating put on the Rocks. In the State game, the Rocks returned the favor. So, it does not matter who you "think" is the better team at this point. The game must be played and each team has equal chance to win. So trying to say that the Rocks are a 35 point underdog is crazy. If your conceeding the State Title Game for what you think might happen, better start convincing Beaty and Co. not to show up on Saturday night. I just have a strong idea that the Rock football team will show up..... It was a nice try though....

Seems that CR has become a Tiger supporter... (I do like that avatar picture) Or is he just trying to play mind games with the Tiger team? The Rocks will be ready you can count on that. You dont win four out of the last five championships by being the underdog.... It will take every effort and outstanding execution on be half of the Tigers O and D to come away with a W on Saturday. Either of the two teams that thinks it will be a cake walk will have cake on their face...... Good Luck to both teams.

I know, its an institution and we should not question the judgments which are laid down by the KHSAA, but lets be honest about the situation.....

To include all of the appropriate responses to this the "unstated" reason, please consult the "public vs. private" thread forum for the last 9 months. I would have to think that every angle has been highlighted and discussed. I have no problem with the 6 class system, I just think its a joke that the KHSAA justifies the 6 class expansion by saying that it is designed to give more kids the opportuinty to play in the post season. How do you think Butler enjoyed the post season? OK, 6 classes now, two more teams will be state champs, I think that is a good thing. In most cases, the winners of all classes are going to be teams that were competing in the first case. So, nothing really new except a couple new state champs. Thats OK, but dont try to pretend that its benefiting 100's of kids that now are getting a chance to play in the post season. Its not, these teams have to undergo an additonal week of practice and in most cases get thumped pretty bad in the first round. I just dont see that as a great memory for these kids.

RP - Dont sell yourself short. This Rock team is as good and well prepared as any Trinity has brought to the table for the last 4 State games. Im sure both teams will play their best ball on Saturday. Good Luck to both teams. May the best team win.....

This is the first big test for Billy G. How will the crowd respond to UNC leading by double digits in the first half??? It may not be pretty. Billy G. needs this game. Lets face it, the Cats have not looked that impresive this early season..... UNC is capable of puttin a hurtin on our boys. I see it UNC by 12.

^ DM I hear you on that one. It seems the OL is the most overlooked position in HS football. If you dont have the Hogs, you are not going to Market... With the numbers that Farris has put up, he had to have some significant help in the blocking department. Hats off to the Boone OL. They will need their A+++ game tonight....

^ The Trinity D will key on the Boone rushing attack for sure. I would anticipate that for Boone to have any success, the pass will have to be incorporated into the game plan. Having said that, execution will be crucial. Good Luck to both teams tonight...

This is a great point. For many years, 15 - 20, Male, Manual and St. X were in the same DISTRICT......... These three teams have carried their fair share of "tough" schedules thats for sure. As far as would work for everyone else.... Seems Trinity is the only one to take advantage of that situation. Wheres the rest of the State?????
