Williamsburg should be ready, but I would venture to guess Bath Co. will be looking at the film from a yr ago and the last play of the game. I would bet they come out on all cylinders. Will the Jackets be able to answer the bell:confused:

:laugh: I wondered the same thing, it is like the Williamsburg/Lynn Camp "rivalry" traditionally Williamsburg has an overwhelming record in this series as well. People make rivalries in their own mind.

Good point! I think it is newport, I believe that they are either a single A school or maybe a double A at best! And we already have seen what Whitley can do against a 2A:walk:

I just think the colonels will win! 5A in my mind is the second best divison right behind 6A! I could be wrong, but I would take a 5A 7 out of 10 times against a 4A!

2 to 1 on the thread's Poll for Frankfort to win is how I read it. Care less what a preseason's poll has but I hope the jackets win, but I could see this game going to Frankfort and would not be shocked if that happened.

This has great insight! Let the people talk, it shows their ignorance about mountain football and its comparison to the other regions. I would think the kids from Williamsburg would love to go undefeated and they might, but none the less a tall order. They do know how to "battle" and have a ton of experience but as SB points out there are some very good teams on the schedule. I think if and I mean if Williamsburg can pull the upset, then I think it would be the most impressive win for week 1 in the tri-county area.

Campbellsville will be loaded next year, I think they only graduated three kids. Lynn Camp returns a very stingy defense. Williamsburg returns with most of their team. Clinton Co. improved alot last year. As far as the favorite, you got to give it to the champ of the post season Campbellsville, until someone beats them!

South Laural seems to hold their own against Corbin in every sport. As far as Whitley Co and Knox Co. is concerned. I would have to agree the above statement.

Lynn Camp and Williamsburg; would probably switch but other than that it looks good!

Jason Faulkner, he is JV head coach and Varsity assistant, but someone would be extermely lucky to have him, maybe Lynn Camp, if Pennington goes!

The first bolded part, how do you explain the west coast offense? I do agree to the second bolded part more like 60/40. So, you are telling me you would rather win 8 ball games next regular season, and lose in the second round. Or would win 6 to 7 ball games in the regular season and win the region? So which one does matter? That is a rhetorical question!

I agree with this statement! I hope that you are right in your assessment! Again, did not mean to ruffle any feathers, just pointing out has happened in the past! As far as being balanced, the game has changed, if you are not balanced you will struggle, probably not in the regular season, but in the post season, where as I am sure that you know that is all that really matters

LoL, didn't a single A school beat "the big brother last year", facts are facts, they would have come in forth in a single A district, based upon what they did last year. However, that was last year, this year Whitley will be better! I am sorry that it bothers people that they play in a 5A district, like I said before I wish them luck, just, don't expect miracles! Until, they can get down to playing 3A ball, they will struggle, making it past the second round. But then again second round playoffs, are all what some people shoot for! So good luck to that!

Wow, Whitley sounds loaded! I believe in 5A ball though, a team would need to be 50/50 on the offense, because most teams have all kinds of "fast cars", well outside of Whitley's district anyway! I wish Coach Black luck, but, I don't see much turn around, 5A ball is exactly that 5A ball, I don't care if Whitley did play in one of the worst districts in 5A! With all that said good luck coach

I think this would be fair. Teacher's Salary Teachers' hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work 9 or 10 months a year! It's time we put things in perspective and pay them for what they do--baby sit! We can get that for less than minimum wage. That's right. Let's give them $3.00 an hour and only the hours they worked, not any of that silly planning time. That would be $19.50 a day (7:00 AM to 3:30 (or so) PM with just 25 min. off for lunch). Each parent should pay $19.50 a day for these teachers to baby-sit their children. NOW... How many do they teach in a class, 30? So that's $19.50 x 30 = $585.00 a day. However, remember they only work 180 days a year!!! we're not going to pay them for any vacations. LET'S SEE.... That's $585 x 180= $105,300 per year. What about those special teachers and the one s with master's degrees? Well, we could pay them minimum wage, and just to be fair, round it off to $7.00 an hour. That would be $7 x 6 1/2 hours x 30 children x 180 days = $245,700 per year. Wait a minute--there's something wrong here! Average teacher salary $50,000/180 days = $277/per day/30 students = $9.23/6.5 hours = $1.42 per hour per student. A very inexpensive baby-sitter and they even try - w ith your help - to EDUCATE your kids! WHAT A DEAL.... And the parents don't even have to buy us pizza!

Key word Tradition: What is the all time series record between these two schools, and how about those district titles, who has won more? Outside of Corbin, Williamsburg has the best tradition based upon district titles, play-offs, and head to head competition, in Knox, Whitley, or McCreary Co. Now as far as this year, Lynn Camp probably is the favorite to win the district, they are very talented!
