  1. I am sorry that I did not watch the debate, my mind was made up after the vote on the 700 Billion Dollar Bail-Out Plan, where both parties voted Yes. So much for a choice. :madman: I have decided that I will vote for Bob Barr a libertarian. I disagree with his stance on abortion but I also understand that abortion is a dead issue. However, he seems like the only one who represents what I believe in as far as the economy goes. The self promotion of individualism which ultimately is what our country was founded on. We as a society have become to dependent on someone else to figure the problems out, let people slide, and let other people pay for it. Now I want to be clear, people do need help from time to time, but not a lifestyle, not when they made the choices. There at somepoint has to be some accountability. So where is it, (I know in heaven) but here in the United States? Please somebody answer this.
  2. I agree! That is why I am voting for Bob Barr at least his policies are more so in line with the constitution than two main party are presenting at this time. If Hal Rogers votes Yes today, he will lose my vote as well, and I like him
  3. This Barr Character, I found my man! http://www.foxbusiness.com/story/small-business/really-want-small-government/
  4. The constitution does allow for something in this setting... Anyone wish to take a guess.
  5. Anyway, Jenkins will be ready for Williamsburg. The interesting thing to see is if Williamsburg, will play to their calabur or will they play to the competition, I am curious to see that! I in no way was casting stones at Jelico or Jenkins both schools are like McCreary in that they have a continuous strugle keeping their teams competitive and W-burg only schedules MC when they think they have better than 50% chance of winning. I say this because I personally heard a W-coach once say they would rather get beat 100 points by Corbin than lose to McCreary by 1. Anyway, I was just saying!:ylsuper: 2000 and like 98
  6. To My Dear Brother or Sister FastBreak: First, it was awesome to hear of the conviction that you felt about your time and resources. I too have been convicted many times in many ways. Second, on the day of judgement, (which will happen), no matter what, we will and do fall short of the Glory of God, if not their would be no need for a sacrifice of His Son. Third, we are called to follow the law, to live in peace, to love Our Father with all of our heart, mind and soul, to love our neighbor, and we have the great commission. This to me will some of the criteria that God will judge us on, which again goes back to the second part. Now, I can not judge Ace on his or her conviction. However, Ace's is logic leads that person to believe that the idea of greed in country has over taken us and that we have turned our back's because we want more, more education, more stuff, more houses, we want to fill our lives with such things because society says we need them. However, I am young, but to me life is way more important than just stuff, I look forward to the day of children, to the day of my marriage, to today. Does this mean we do not work? No, we work, because we are commanded to do so. So the question becomes why do we work? Is it for greed? Is it for His Kingdom? I would suggest that God has given us all talents to use for His Kingdom, that is why we should do our best, not for the pay check, but to helpfull fill the third point up top. Which interconnects with our convictions, which ultimately we get judged for. Accouple of thoughts what do you think
  7. Jellico did beat Williamsburg twice I think! Has MCcreary:sleep: Anyway, Jenkins will be ready for Williamsburg. The interesting thing to see is if Williamsburg, will play to their calabur or will they play to the competition, I am curious to see that!
  8. Ace Great POINTS:thumb::thumb: You should become a libertarian like myself:dancingpa Let me do with my money with what I will and also, do not question how I live, worry about yourself I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!:jump:
  9. Downside to the plan is its enormous cost, said Baumohl, estimating that the federal bail-out of the financial markets could swell the national deficit to $1 trillion annually. This is scary, anyone want to take a guess who we would be paying that to?:scared::scared::scared::confused::eek:
  10. again, I am not go into this, the comment was made in poor taste, and I again apologize, good luck to both teams
  11. I wish to take back this statement; it is in poor taste. I was just trying to explain why not that much interest. Still though, I should have choosen better words. I sincerely appologize for the poor word choice.
  12. No offense but many people (in my part of the country) think that these two teams play in the worst district in 5A.
  13. This thing does not work 52 to 51 how in the world does this happen? I really have not made up mind yet:confused:
  14. Williamsburg should be ready, but I would venture to guess Bath Co. will be looking at the film from a yr ago and the last play of the game. I would bet they come out on all cylinders. Will the Jackets be able to answer the bell:confused:
  15. Nope, but I bet you did not miss thou shall not murder, commit adultry, give false witness, steal...
  16. If this is a nation that supports the ideas of the populus, and the populus is christian and the United States was founded upon the Mosiac Law, then do we not have an obligation to say we are Christians this is what we believe and try to change those laws to fit our lifestyles, or do we accept the fact that the majority has no rights and that everything should be equal? I am just ask since this is a government of, for, and by the people? This much more fundamental question then just greed!
  17. Love this story out of Luke :thumb: I think though that this is a condition of the heart which answers the question how would Jesus define greed. If anyone places more importance on something (in this case money) than the 2 commandments that we are given, then we are in the wrong. Now the real question becomes this, is it better to teach a man to fish or is it better to give a man a fish, which one is real love?
  18. I wish this young man all of the best in his recovery efforts.
  19. I think that a national curriculum would solve this! Each state sets its own standards. However, anything nationalized would be considered evil:scared:
  20. But look at the scores... bigger is not better. Funding is the key issue along with class size, but it seems no one wants to pay the bill:eek::cry:
