  1. I think that their other assistant Jason Faulkner is one of the most underrated assistant coaches out there! Any staff would be lucky to have him on there. I look for him to be looking at head coaching somewhere in the near future.
  2. 219 according to Wii Fit 31.68 on the BMI. I don't have a weight goal but I want to get my BMI down to 21.00 So I need to lose the weight
  3. I hope that you are wrong, I just joined the Libertarian Party because they believe the above ideas. I recommend everyone to look into it.
  4. I understood that! That is why I posted the link for the action that is being taken against the 16th.
  5. I agree funding has to come from somewhere and the people that want programs to do so. The questions that come before us are what (what kind of tax), why (why we need this or that program, and is that program constitutional) If people do not like taxes they should be able to cut programs, hense money saved. That case in Va, they never really cut any program did they, so funding still had to take place. For what programs!
  6. Funding again has to come from the states and again sales tax does that mean we pay a sales tax of 20% on items maybe. I just know that I believe in the constitution and the income tax is unconstitutional. I will reply soon for the prision thoughts.
  7. I agree it was a problem but they over came the problem didn't they (War of 1812 and Revolutionary War.) Wars are more costly only because capitalism has not truely taken effect. Take for an example of the car industry. People didn't want the Big Three, but they do want a car, hense Toyota. People will try to make a profit where one is to be made, so more and more people into the industry means the lower the price and better the quality. Just a thought.
  8. I think the Federal Government is way to big and has broken the constitution a number of times including the Federal Income Tax, which again was never ratified. It does not matter if good comes out of it or not, it is unconstitutional. I propose we become once more self reliant on ourselfs (in my case on God, who sent His Son to die for my sins and your case may be different, which is constitutional) instead of big brother. How does a government become smaller, as we have found out in this state, cut funding. If organizations (such as a church) wishes to help with social justice (proverty) or some other cause great, all for it! Not the government! However, no one can show in the constitution about Bail-Outs (again with our own future money), wel-fare, social security, medicade and medicare just to name a few. Also another thing I want my government to do is go back to the Gold Standard, that way we have to have a balance budget. Thoughts?
  9. Because it is unconstitutional! Roads are a state issue, much like education military is where I am stumped to be honest, could go back to the model that we have at the beginning of this great nation.
  10. There is actually a case going on that has made it to the Supreme Court! Keep our fingers cross.
  11. It was never ratified (sp)? http://www.usconstitution.net/constnotes.html#Am16
  12. I like this thread! Domestically I want the Federal Income Tax to cease to exist, since it is unconstitutional. I want education for all people to the age of 18 supported by sales tax. I want a police where criminals were dealt with more harshly. I want to end most social programs I want to end all bail-outs I want all roads to be taken care off, supported by a sales tax. I want an election where ideas are what people vote for not party lines. Foreign I want a military with the might to defend the US I want to end all free trade with the rest of the world I want an isolationism policy on all Middle East countries that do not recognize Isreal as a country I want an aggressive policy towards Russia and China What do you think
  13. Does anyone know anything about Ross Point out of Harlan Co.
  14. 7. Williamsburg 5. Lynn Camp 3. Buckhorn 2. Fairview 1. Ashland TB Fairview
  15. Well is it? Please explain if you believe it is or is not and tell why! Can the Bible really help people get out of debt? Can the Bible really help people get through family matters? Can the Bible just in essence help others?
  16. Thanks to all that have voiced their opinion! I will let you know what the church decides to do. We are trying to tackle a very difficult problem down is Southeastern Ky with proverty and the best ways to deal with it. I will let you know how the program goes and will be more than glad to PM anyone that wants the material in whatever program we choose. As far as the other commentary;) I think that it would be best to start another thread, questioning if the Bible is relevant or not. Maybe I should start that one!
  17. This thought is very common and I respect that opinion a great deal. I wish I knew more to say something profound, but I don't. I wish all churches would tackle these types of issues that "Joe the Plummer" will face. I just believe that God does have all of our best interest in mind at all times, this is including the financial end. Do I think that the Bible has the income bracket of which I bring home and will show me how to budget my money to become wealthy, if that is my goal, I doubt it, but maybe. Do I believe that my attitude and the way approach the idea of material things need to change? More than likely.
  18. That is an excellent question There are actually two goals for the classes: The First Goal is to make the church and the Bible more relevent to the masses on a day to day bases. The second goal for the classes to break down into small groups depending on age and teach people how to deal with finances, everything from debt management to estate planning. As far as the biblically based question, I know God does speak about finances and the way we should handle things, but that is the extent of knowledge to date. It is my belief and my church that God does have a plan for each of us and his Word along with the Spirit will give me, you, everyone, guidence. Looking for resources on this topic using the Bible falls in line with what the Church is trying to accomplish.
  19. My church is wanting to do a financial class for our members and the members of the community. The problem is there are a vast number of resources out there and we have no true direction. So, I have come here to see if anyone could give guidance to this endeavor. There are criteria though before my church will carry through with this class. The curriculum has to be Biblically Based The Curriculum has to reach all members of the congregation...i.e. young adult-through senior citizen Please tell not only a source but why you would recommend it, if you would please. Thanks in advance Mr. F
