I never said their coaches didn't spend hours preparing. I said with the athletes they had they could had played any defense and been just as successful. There was very few games this year that Catholic had to worry about match up problems.

Lex Cath's scheme had little to do with how good they were this year on defense. The athletes and speed they had this year is what made them. They could had played any defense and been just as successful. When you have the ability to play straight man coverage on virtually any team you play and never worry that the other teams kid is better than yours then your really good. That is what made their run defense so good, they didn't have to drop extra people in coverage so they never got out numbered or out of position.

I agree with you, both of these young men deserve a spot on it as well. Very nice list though. I thought Jones from Russell should had been on there too, he started QB and MLB and was the heart and sole of a team that was ranked top 5 in the state all year.

He has to get rid of that lazy streak he has or he'll be another Crawford.

It's nice to see one team from the Bluegrass state is doing good in the national spotlight!

2 HUGE wins for these girls...that's awesome...not to mention the win over Scott County in my opinion was the biggest win in school history in any sport! Keep it rolling and make the town proud!

I get to watch 2 more high school football games this year than I did last year to top off the season...that sounds like a winner to me.

Rowan Co. has a problem with promising coach's things they request and not fulfilling those promises. Unless they change their ways they will have a hard time attracting any kind of quality coach in any sport.

I'll verify it, he did resign, broken promises is what I was told.

Coach Baldridge has resigned effective immediately. He sighted health reasons and wanting to spend more time with his grandkids. Coach B is a good man and did a good job at Rowan Co. this year. It was posted in the Morehead News.

I would suggest Michigan's camp....it's a week long and it's a whole lot of DB work. It's very good and I would highly recommend it regardless if you like Michigan or not.

At the end of this season I would not be shocked at all if Knipp is considered the best player in the region.

I believe that A on the jersey will come to life this week. It seems to do a lot of talking around this time of the year.

I would say Belfry will win their 3rd state title in the last 5 years in December so I'm gonna go on a limb and say it not a thing of the past. The bottom line to any offense you choose to run is getting the kids to buy into it, if that happens it's going to work for you.

Yes this is what happened. I'm not sure the reason I just know this is what happened. I'm sure it was political in the end as to who got put where and why and how and all that. I don't know but I know that there was only a couple of good crews in the area and they broke them up so now there is just a bunch of bad crews with a couple good officials on them.

If you were/are an official and the crew you have been calling with for years was suddenly told they are being split up, would you be happy?
