  1. I've said numerous times, as most of you know, that UK should try and get this kid. He has Major DI talent.
  2. How do you plan on setteling that tie, split the money or what??
  3. Personally I'd love to see them all stay and do it again, this team is already going down as one of the top teams ever in NCAA DI College basketball, why not stay 1 more year and make it that much sweeter and 3-peat....with a different coach might I add..lol
  4. Wow, you put Kiernan and Pelle infront of Hill. I know these kids played for you so I'll take your word for it, but I don't see to many players in the state better than Hill, maybe Miller @ Mason County but thats about it from what I seen in Lexington. Even when he's having a bad game you can tell he's the best player on the floor by his athleticism and quickness and just the way he moves without the basketball...jmo
  5. For me it was year round when I played. Regular season, summer season, and practices for each not to mention All-star games, lifting/running and Individual camps in the off season. Because basketball was my 1st love I gave up football before my SR. season, which was a sport where I was actually more recruited in but didn't have the love for, just goes back to what Rojas4 said. Track and Cross Country are great for basketball and I did those all 4 years in HS however.
  6. Really, I didn't realize it was that close.
  7. I agree, WLSC is as far North in West Virginia as you can possibly be with out being in Pennsylvania if its the school i'm thinking of. You'd think Weeling Jesuit would have gotten alot of these kids, but they may have been overlooked as well. I'm wondering how far it is from Silver Grove probabily 6-9 hours, but I could be way off on that though.
  8. I agree you are absolutley right, its that dream job that every coach wants but when they get it they will be absolutly miserable at some point in there career there.
  9. I'm as big a UK fan as anyone, I bleed blue like the rest of you, but like it or not most of what Dicky V said was true. Reguardless of who they hire if we don't get into at least the elight 8 next season alot of fans are going to be out for the coaches head, like it or hate it, it is what it is. Theres not a coach in the country thats going to be a saviour at UK it will take time to get a title. Time to recruit and build a team, time to develop chemistry, and time for freshman to mature. Most(not all) of our fans expect miracles on the hardwood and with todays parody in college athletics its nearly unthinkable like it once was to dominate the college game. There are players playing an Mid-Major DII programs or NAIA programs who could eaisly start for a Duke, Tennessee, Ohio State...etc. Not saying that in a negative way but just using that as an example of the parody in CBB. The key word here is patience.

  11. http://www.hilltoppersports.com/page.cfm?sport=84 Just incase anyones interested heres the teams website.
  12. Take away Saul Smith and add a good asst. to the other two and thats a descent staff of asst: Coaches. Anyone else find it interesting that he hired Ron Jirsa.
  13. The 1st part I can see where your coming from, but he is as good a shooter(if not better) as Redick and how in the world could he be less athletic than Redick. Someone 400lbs with a 2 inch verticle leap is as athletic as Redick. He's just a shooter, speaking of JJ, but he is pretty darn good at that though.
  14. He probabily gets the most of what ability and size he has than anybody in the history of college basketball. He works hard of the court and it shows. It may get him a pretty hefty amout of cash one day.
  15. Thanks, Those teams at Covington-HC always play hard, I've always respected them for that.
  16. I thought they were supposed to be pretty good, maybe that was a few years ago.
  17. Is he really good enough to play at WLSU?? I'm not saying he isn't because i've never seen him play so I won't judge a player before I've seen them play, but the reason why I was asking is because I didn't see his name in any of the player ratings in the state or even the region. If he's so talented then why is he so under the radar?? I know Silver Grove is a small school but talent is talent so why didn't he stand out to coaches across the region in the pre-season ratings?? Was he injured or something last season, or is there something oposing coaches have against Silver Grove?? I'm not trying to say anything negative, just saying a kid that signed with one of the top DII teams schools in the country not even being mentioned as one of the top players in the region is just ridiculas IMO, what gives. The kid can obviously play. Anyway with that being said and those questions being ask I'd like to send congrats out to CP on behalf of eastern Ky. This is a big deal, cherish it and get your education. Thats the most important thing that will come out of this.
  18. The only DIII Schools in Kentucky with a football program are Centre and Thomas More. Both have pretty darn good football programs though!!
  19. I agree about Jefferson. He is probabily one of the top 5 PGs in the state.
  20. Just my opinion on that, I'll give you Miller though, he probabily is the best.:thumb:
