FCHS lead the enitre game. FHS had to battle with foul trouble. Josh Smith and Zed Smith couldn't get it working early do to having fouls. FHS played physical and with a ton of emotion. EJ Field stepped up tonight and control the game for FHS. Zed Smith made plays down the stretch. Cameron Juett hit some big shots as well. Antoine Robinson, Eric Smith, Josh Smith played their rolls and made so plays.

 

Proud of the way FHS played the left it all out on the court.

I may be wrong but isn't this a prett big upset, I thought Franklin Co. would at least contend for a region title.

I'd call it an upset. I thought Franklin Co would make it to regions... They had some high expectations at the beginning of the season.

 

I'd guess that the boys at Frankfort High haven't forgotten that Coach Chalk left them to go up the road to Franklin Co.

Great job Coach Byars, a lot of people are very proud of you. It was a great game. Sorry for boubting that you and your boys could pull this off. E.J. was a monster on the boards tonight. It was obvious you were working hard. Never once did I notice you look to the stands for approval, you just coached like you knew how. FC had a situation last night that few had never seen, it only lasted for maybe ten seconds, once FC noticed the mistake it had made and changed it all up, but this would have been interesting to see how it played out. Couldn't have been any worse. That's still the mentallity of the COUNTY, no approval from the stands, this was over. Coach Byars you did a great job with your 7-8 players. Good luck to you and your boys. FC has a lot of work to do in the hopefully near future, there are still second class citizens at FC, unbelievable.

Congratulations to Coach Byars and the Panthers. The seniors came together last night and were on a mission to beat the Flyers. As I mentioned earlier in the season, everyone needed to be patient with the team as they learn a new system, also this is the 3rd coach in 4 years for the seniors. Zed Smith had a great game, along with Cameron Jouett, who sat out most of the game with foul trouble, but came back in, during the 4th quarter to led the Panthers. Good job Panthers, thanks to the rest of the seniors, Eric Smith, Josh Smith and Antoine Robinson for hanging tough thru those rough times. Coach Byars, thanks for the great job that you have done!!!!!!!!

Great win for Frankfort. Ouch for Franklin County. Two years in a row as #1 seed in the district and no title. This year no regional tournament. Great job Panthers!

Sorry, I do apoligize if what you may have seen over the course of the season does not bother you, I would only hope that you could be more sensitive to others conditions that seem to persist at FC, stand approval, I mean looking into the stands to see who needs to play or not to play. We coulda and shoulda won the game, but you got to coach to win, and that didn't happen. not surprising, its happened before. This is the mighty 11th, you got to put the best product on the floor as much as you can to have a chance. But for 15 seconds the overall complexion of what was on the floor wasn't looking right and it quickly changed. We still have a quota here at FC. You never know what that line-up might have done. We may come out of the dark ages, but I truly doubt it.

This is the most ridiculous post I have read on here in a while. I am not sure what your angle is, but I know the FC coaches don't play favorites. Chalk never has. I am not sure what you think the best product is, but the team on the floor as FHS was making their run was FC's best. Hicks, Hicks, Meyer, Hines and Ammons were the group in when FHS started making their run, the FCHS starting line-up. Coaching can get you so far, but eventually the players have to play. Down the stretch the FC players turned it over in ridiculous ways, and one of their top defenders got ran out on several times.

 

Finally give FHS some credit. EJ Fields played a whale of a game, and Jouett hit some huge shots, that he doesn't typically make. Your post sounds like a parent whose kid is not getting as much time as you would like. Support your program, it is on the rise. This was a bump along the way. Don't forget, that just 4 years ago FCHS was 2-24 at the beginning of a massive rebuilding project. And next year the Flyers return 2 or their top 3 scorers, some other solid sophomores, and a Freshmen class that just won the 11th region title. The future looks bright.

I consider myself a friend of Scott Chalk and have known him for atleast the last 10-12 years. This man has never been concerned about what the people in the stands think. He doesn't go with what is popular. He puts the best product on the court every night. Now that producted is determined in practice not at someones house.

 

I would take Chalk back in a minute at FHS. He built that program just like he has rebuilt the program at FCHS. High school sports would be great if parents would sit back and enjoy their kids.

Buckett, it looks like those boys fought as hard in this game as they did on the football field! Those boys are winners, no matter what surface they are competing on.
