I'd have to take Grim at the HS level, he's probabily the best in kentucky right now. Clark would probabily be a better college player due to his size but Grim is as good as they get in High School.

People can say what they want but this has to be among the biggest football rivalries in the state. These two teams meet here every year and its always a classic and I don't expect anything different this season. It'll be a lot closer than in the regular season. Madison Central is always athletic in Basketball and football. The coaches must push those kids hard.

Who is the best athlete in the state in basketball terms?? I'm defining athlete as dunking, jumping, speed/quickness, flashy, exciting, build, well conditioned and even more Exciting...More simply put as someone who can take over a game with their athletism, someone with D-I athletism. Preston Knowles, Darius Miller,Stepphon Pettigrew,Eudgene Wade,Scotty Hopson,Antiquawn Beckman, Duran Jefferson, Shelvin Mack, Matt Thomas, Jerrell Mayo, someone else...Who do you think??

UHA, Russellville, and Paintsville are my three favorites as of now.

I believe if anyone other than JC or Paintsville wins the 15th regional crown then I say no. IMO JC and Paintsville has the talent to compete with ALMOST anyone in the state. If they can draw someone other than the 6th,7th,11th, 4th, or 5th region then they have a shot but with the luck of the draw they'll probabily get one of these regions like in most years..It seems like the 15th gets a Louisville school every year. In the past 4 seasons They've had J'Town(06'),Ballard(03'),Caverna in (04'-Close enough to Louisville),and drew Henry Clay in 05' from the 11th. If this happens they'll get destroyed once again, the 15th just dosen't have the athletes to compete with these schools. They have in years past but not at all this season..Theres not many good athletes at all in the 15th. There's some good shooters in this area though.

Thanks for the information about Rowan County, I wasn't sure and I agree Paintsville or Elliott eighter one could definitly make some serious noise in this.

Looks like all the mountain teams got paired together in that session 2 Draw. Paintsville will come out of the 15th i'm pretty sure, Not really sure about the 16th though. JBS or Hazard will come out of 14th. Not real sure about the 12th and 13th. When I look at this draw and if Paintsville makes it from the 15th then they could very well win the whole All A Classic Tournament..I honestly believe that.

I agree with your picks, but in the 14th I'll go with Lee Co. and I'll go with JTown once again in the 7th. I'm not sure yet about the 16th some times I think Ashland and others I think Russell but I'm still undecided about that region. The rest looks good to me.:thumb:

I like Pettigrew, but I'll take Hopson. VanHoose @ Russell is a player as well, he's got heart.

The list keeps growing for KY players going DI. VanHoose(Evansville),Beckman(IUPUI),Profitt(Notre Dame), and now Fraliex(Murray State)..and more to come. Best of luck to Matt, he should do well there.

I never played against him but the quickest player I have ever seen play in recent memory would have to be Lartavious Banks of Hopkinsville who graduated in 2003. He was one of the better players in the state that season but I don't think he ever played a game after High School.

If Hopson isn't on the list that should tell everyone something right there. I think he's the best player in the state as a Junior. Nice job doing reserch and finding informatin OYPreps, some good stuff man.:thumb:

Well I'm not sure it seems like he was playing on the UofL football team the last I remember so yeah I do believe he qualified, but I'm not positive about that..I believe Jazz Neal had a scholarship offer to Valparaiso a D-I program in Indiana but didn't qualify so I think he ended up at a Junior College in Illionois, the name excapes me though. Not sure if he is even still playing though..He was an unbelievable guard also I saw him a few times in the Sweet 16.

I don't mind ansering your question at all OYPreps. I can name a few in the last few years: JaJuan Spillman, Jazz Neal, Maurice Blakey, Carlos Williams, and recently Adam Decker...just to name a few..And when I say great I'm no speaking as if they are legendary, just that they are great in the PRP System. I'd say Spillman was the best though.

Bolus had Brooks rated #1 I belive. I think he only had him rated that based on potential like you said. I think he only averaged around 9ppg last season, but has alot of upside. He's for sure a D-I prospect..Speaking of PRP, it seemsd like they always produce great guards for as long as I can remember. The Player who I believe is overlooked the most is Keith Price from Casey County. He's around 6'9 and seems to be under the Radar but could very well be the top prospect in Kentucky in the senior class.. He is just as good if not better than Brooks or Wade but is less focused on than those guys because of his team. Speking of potential he's probabily one of the top 3 big men in kentucky IMO, he just seems to be very underrated. He probabily isnt as athletic as these guys but stronger. But he's not a bad athlete and pretty good fundamentally. I think Ballou could be Great and could grow even larger, if he develops he could be one of the best player to come out of Kentucky in Quiet some time.
