It was a very tough draw for a 1st round game. Eighter of these two teams could win the region and make some noise in Rupp and now playing in the 1st round of the region. I think this game will be close but if not, feel free to quote me. But I feel MC could sneak up on the highly touted Mason Co. team.

JBS got a really tough draw with Powell, looks like Hazard got the best draw.

Replace MC with Pikeville and that would be my picks but anyway who ever wins the 1st rd game Magoffin or Pikeville will more than likley be in the championship from that bracket.

Top Bracket Belfry vs. Paintsville Shelby Valley vs. Betsy Layne Bottom Bracket Allen Central vs Phelps Magoffin Co. vs. Pikeville The top 3 teams are in the top bracket meaning Paintsville,Belfry, or Shelby Valley will not make it to the regional Championship only 1 of those three will be there. Looks like Allen Central Got the best draw out of anyone.Paintsville looks to have the toughest road to the finals IMO, but I still pick them to take it all.

I don't think he is the best player in the state, but I guess his teams succes could end up getting it for him.

Thats the ones I was going to post. Although maybe not a state contender almost everyone thought that Central Hardin would win the 5th region and make some noise. I guess this hurts Pettigrew's colleges chances(I mean at a Major University) also at ETown, alot of the scouts like attend the regional and state games to see how kids react to that environmemt. and with ETown out that means no Pettigrew also.

Sad ending to a brilliant Career, I wish him a speedy recovery and the best at Evansville. Russell is no longer my favorite to win the 16th, what a blow this is for them.

Congrats goes out to a Couple 15th region guys on the Centre Roster, Kris Bentley(Prestonsburg/Shelby Valley) & Stuart Rutledge(Paintsville).

Landon Slone had another big game with 26pts, hes playing huge at the right time, he nearly had a triple double the last game and there is no jealousy on this program like last season as far as I know. Van Fergason is as good as he was hyped to be and turned out to be a big help to this team, Grimm is a warrior in the paint and plays his role perfecty. Bundy is a nice PG with good D, and VanHoose although struggling and not playing to his potential could have a breakout tournament in the region. The Tigers are my pick to go to Rupp. And I cant wait untill the regional tourney. The PHS Tigers, Phelps Hornets, and the ACHS Runnin Rebels have already advanced, I can't wait...What a tournament it's going to be.:jump:

I may be wrong but isn't this a prett big upset, I thought Franklin Co. would at least contend for a region title.

In the 15th Paintsville and Shelby Valley are really relistically the only two teams I see having a shot to win the 15th. If I had to pick a Sleeper though it would have to be Belfry.

Iona, they are like 1-25 now and last season they were in the NCAA Tourney. But from the list I have to say LSU, I would say Duke but i'm not really disappointed that their losing...lol

Roddy Piper The loser had to have their head shaven, this was also supposed to be Pipers farwell match, but obviousy returned to the organization. The Late Adrian Adonis lost the match and Brutas Beefcake came out and assisted Piper in shaving Adonis's hair. Thats how Beefcake got the nickname "The Barber" from the end of that one match, which has stuck with him to this day. Very, Very, underrated match. Another one of my favorites
