I know Scott County has big reputation and tradition but they will have no cakewalk in the 11th. Who would have thought Scott Co would be upset by Madison central lats year? Scott County has no Haddix this year. Madison Central may have lost a point guard but not the caliber player that Haddix was. There are other teams that will give Scott Co all they wany as well. I'm OK with you putting Scott Co. as the favorite and putting the target on their chest, and beleive me there are several teams that will be able to hit the bullseye.

Ashland will not be the favorite in the 16th this year...that nod goes to Russell, defending champs return everybody.

I believe the faviorte in the 8th would have to be Simon Kenton this year.

I agree with your picks, but in the 14th I'll go with Lee Co. and I'll go with JTown once again in the 7th. I'm not sure yet about the 16th some times I think Ashland and others I think Russell but I'm still undecided about that region. The rest looks good to me.:thumb:

I believe that Simon Kenton will take the 8th instead of Shelby. Sk has some food returning players and Shelby lost Slaughter so Im going to say that SK will win the 8th instead of Shelby, but thats my opinion.

Scott Co., is very good but there is a chance they may not even make it out of the district tournament, the key to that district is playing well and getting that #1 seed for the district tournament so you can play Sayre. One very good team will get sent home early in that district (Scott Co., Sayre, Bryan Station, Henry Clay)

11th will be interesting to say the least. Will depend who is hot in March. Bryan Station, Scott County, Madison Central and Lexington Catholic could be there. Saw Station, Catholic & Central play this summer, all three were strong to me. This could be Scott's year if they stay healthy...

How much does it hurt SK W/out Hester??

It will hurt there chances alot if Hester is not in the lineup. If he is out then Shelby jumps back to the faviorite imo.

I agree. Without Mike, SK moves to the #2 spot and Shelby Co. goes to #1.

I also think in the 9th region, Covcath moves back to the favorite with Jefferson being out of the lineup for quite some time. He WILL play in districts and region though so I could be wrong.

 

9th region favorite: Covcath (Holmes close behind-with or without DJ)

8th region favorite: Shelby County (SK loses alot with Hester out)

Brooks out of Doss has tremendous potential but when I have watched him I wasn't all too impressed. Just never seemed to take over a game (granted I have only seen him play 4 or 5 times). I think that South Laurel and Mason County will both miss their big men (Walt Allen and I can't recall the Mason center's name) a lot, even if they do have some size returning in the frontcourt.

Hester should be back before Region tournement so I am going to stay with my prediction and pick Simon Kenton over Shelby.

Henry Clay will be the sleeper in the 11th
