You see different Ratings throughout the pre-season and no one ever seems to agree. Here's your chance to post your top ten players in the state..You can base it on Potential, statistics, ability, size, or whatever. I know alot of you have alot of Knowledge of players throughout the state by reading some of your post. Instead of "bashing" some ones opinion on this thread just post your own list. I look foward to reading these, should be really interesting. I'll post my list later after doing a little thinking and some research.

I'm actually suprised this isn't already a thread, not because of the teams, obviously, but because of whats at stake. I'm not a fan of eighter team but this could be a big building block for both teams in building respectable football programs. Allen Central is known as a "basketball school" and for them to make it to the playoffs would be huge for their football program who really hasn't been shown much respect throughout easten kentucky for as long as I can remember(myself included), and Jenkins really isn't known as an athletic school so it would also be big for them as in their athlectic programs as a whole. They are pretty much the same as Allen Central in every aspect.Jenkins has not made the Playoffs in 12 years. As for AC it is uncertain if they have ever made the playoffs as far as I know. In all actuallity which ever team makes it would be hammerd in the 1st round, but the fact is that one of these teams will be in the playoffs, something these players and football alumni from these two squads can say for the 1st time in a LONG time. Should be a great game between these two Class A schools. Anyone have any comments or predictions?? Allen Central is 3-5 on the season and Jenkins is 2-6.

The best matchup has to be South Laurel and Russell. The Adair County and North Laurel game should be pretty good also.

I'm not sure about the best part but this has to be one of the oldest gyms still in us..It is Riverside Christian home Gym...It has a big Christmas tree in it(or used to) and will probabily seat 50 people..JMO..the rims there are more like 9 1/2 ft instead of ten. It is something you have to see if you've never seen it, go to a Riverside home game and see for yourself its a sight, makes for some good basketball though..and its in the middle of nowhere, Lost Creek I think is what they call it..some really Nice people their though.

I'd have to say the 4th region. Heres 8 reasons why: Anderson-Warren Central..ARGUABLY the top guard or one of top guards in the state, can do it all. Mayo-Russelville...One of the best Athletes and a Sleeper player in the state Britt-Warren Central...Could start on any teamin the state and could be the #1 option on most teams. Stone & Graves-AC Scottsville...Quiet possibly a top 5 state wide. Dalcourt-Franklin Simpson...one of the better PG's in western KY. Savage-Bowling Green...one of the more underrated guard in the 4th, I think he will be back. Vittatoe-Clinton..One of the biggest guard in the region at 6'5 and on of the best athletes.

I know alot of people will disagree with me but I believe Keith Price from Casey County is a legit D-I prospect, mainly because of his size but I see alot of upside to him. He's about 6'8 or 6'9, if he gets stronger and develops a little more athleticism he could be a force..Does anyone know what schools are looking at him?

Anyone know what kind of team Highlands has this year?

The 5th region could be thrown in this topic as well, I may have missed it but I don't think it has been mentioned. North Hardin,John Hardin,Elizabethtown,Caverna,Bardstown..ETC D-I Players to come out of the 5th the last few years: Stallworth/John Hardin-Moredhead State Pettigrew/ETown-Being recruited by UK among Others, will play D-I. The Exchange student who played at Caverna went to WKU. Guions/North Hardin-NC A&T Bridgewaters(I think was his name, from Adair County who led the state in scoring)-WKU Just a few I could think of off the bat, Woodson, UK's QB could have played D-I basketball if he had choosen to also. I wouldn't say that they are the best region in the state but you could make an argument for them as one of the elight..they are consistantly tough each year.

I got these teams from the KHSAA, the teams I don't have listed weren't on the list yet, so if there are any teams left out feel free to add them.

It'll be crazy, 5 or six of the top ten players in the state could be made up of 11th region players next year, its according how things go this season.

The Lee kid had a brother who was a stud a few years ago at Scott County, 03' think. He was around 6'11..He could have been really good had he gotten in shape but he seemed to be a little on the Lazy side. I think he was at Berea the last time I heard. Scott County has some good underclassmen as well as eveyone else in the 11th. Probabily mor Individual talent in the 11th than in the other 15 regions throughout the state. Mack,Walls,Macky,Morris, and Boyd could all play D-I IMO. Lots of great athetes and and all-around basketball players in this region.

Some people say he cant do much, and some people are impressed and say he a D-I player, and at 6'9 and athletic I can see why some people would say that. 1st I'd like to hear your opinion on this and what you think. 2nd: I was wondering what kind of offers he has had if anyone knows, or what knd of schools are recruiting him??

I agree thats the same score I was thinking. Danville may let Trimble score with the Subs in the 4th quarter, I'm not sure but I'll take this score as of now.

Wow, Thats a tough but good question..I'd say there both pretty equal and both have some of the top teams in the state and country participating every year, if I had to pick one I'd say the King of the Bluegrass but thats just me, but it seems to me like the King of the Bluegrass is more talked about statewide although the 5/3rd seems to be much stronger this year, both get alot of media attention and theres alot of college scouts that attend both. But both are two great tournaments. The Marshall Co. Hoop fest, The Louisville Inv. and the Paintsville Hoops classic are three other popular tournamets throughout the state also. 5/3rd teams this season include: Lexington Catholic, St. X, Bourbon County, Male, June Buchanon, Mason Co., Simon Kenton, Holmes, Johnson Central, Lincoln County, Henry Clay, Clinton Co., Russell and Pendleton County...I'm not sure about the out of state teams. KOB teams this season include: Hancock Co., Male, Franklin County, Rose Hill Academy, Meade County, Elizabethtown, and Central Hardin...not sure about the out of state teams. Not to get off subject but here are the teams participating in the other three tournaments I mentioned and IMO you can make a case for one of these being one of the top tournaments in the state also. LIT: Male, Jeffersontown, Manual, Warren Central, Caldwell County, and Elizabethtown Paintsville Hoops Classic: In State-Paintsville, Russellville, North Hardin Louisville Moore, UHA, Prestonsburg, East Carter, and Bullitt East Out of State-Brewbaker(AL), Gaston Day(NC), Woodward(Ohio), Alcoa(TN), and St. Francis(WI) Marshall County Hoopfest: In State-Lexington Catholic, Heath, UHA, Trigg County, Marshall County, Paducah Tlighman, and Graves County Out of State-ShelbyVille(TN) and Vienna(IL)

What ever happend to the Givens kid who was at Scott County?

Cov. Holy Cross @ Lexington Catholic should be an interesting matchup on November 28th, and what about Johnson Central vs. North Hardin on Dec. 2nd that should be a nice game. North Hardin has some nice players this season according to some of the rankings i've read, don't they have a 7'1 kid??

Paintsville got a transfer from Flordia, Van Fergason, who is supposed to be the best athlete in the region, I've never seen him play but I've heard about him. Landon Slone is the real deal, it'll be interesing to see how he does against a team like Henry Clay who is as talented individually as any team in the state besides maybe Scott County. Should be a good game.

I agree..especially in the past 3-4 years.

What about the 4th Region with teams like Warren Central,Russellville, AC-Scotsville, and Bowling Green, they have to be one of the top 5 along with the 11th,6th, a 7th.
