I want to here some opinions and some facts on why you think the region you pick is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! :fight:

The 7th and 11th always have the best talent and always go the deepest in terms of top quality teams. Sometimes the 6th enters into the discussion.

What about the 4th Region with teams like Warren Central,Russellville, AC-Scotsville, and Bowling Green, they have to be one of the top 5 along with the 11th,6th, a 7th.

I agree..especially in the past 3-4 years.

Lexington Catholic, Lexington Christian, Madison Central, Bryan Station, Dunbar. Mostly Lexington schools.

11th is the best this year hands down.

 

Ballard, Male, and Jtown could beat anyone in the 11th except Scott County.

I totally agree. Bball in NKY is historically weak. Cov Cath and Holmes may be able to compete with some of the better teams in the state next year, but after those, there is a considerable dropoff in talent. Also repeated poor showings in the state tourney should reflect a lower ranking for the 9th region. IMO the 9th deserves no respect from the rest of the state.

I don't mean that they are definently top 5 this year, but they are up there with that group, as opposed to the 1st-3rd and 12th-16th regions have been recently. Just that NKY basketball is in the upper echelon (sp?) of KY basketball.

 

IMO there is a bigger drop off in talent in the 10th- after GRC, Mason, Brossart there is not much left. I would take schools like Holy Cross, Ryle, Dixie, and NewCath over Deming, St. Pat's, Campbell, ect.

The 9th region history in the State Tournament is actually pretty bad. 1 State Champion and countless first round exits. This is not a resume of a region I would call "upper echelon".

I would tend to agree with this statement on most years, but on some years that is not always the case. Give you an example:Scott beat Dixie(twice), NewCath(twice), and Ryle last year. Holy Cross was the only one out of the four you named that beat Scott last year.

True. Scott and SK leaving weakened the 9th a bit more. However in other years teams like Boone and Dixie would have no problem with Scott.

 

P.S. For a 9th vs. 10th argument, this is pretty civilized.
