Eugene Wade-Shelby County, has he had any D-I offers???

Featured Replies

Some people say he cant do much, and some people are impressed and say he a D-I player, and at 6'9 and athletic I can see why some people would say that.

1st I'd like to hear your opinion on this and what you think.

2nd:

I was wondering what kind of offers he has had if anyone knows, or what knd of schools are recruiting him??

His athleticism puts him D1, not a major but he'll be D1.

I think that Eugene is a good player. The thing that will hurt him the most is his attitude and class. I believe one game last year he got into a fight with a person in the stands. That is not the right attitude to have. HE has all the talent in the world, just get the right attitude and you have a fantastic ball player IMO.

I agree with your assessment, with his athletic ablility and size he has the potential to be a great pickup for a D-1 school. I just think that his atttitude and horrible work ethic have been noticed by all of the higher ups. He is a game changer.

Your post prove that you have not seen him play against top talents at major camps or in AAU, only high school play. I have witnessed him in a camp simply get pushed around and dunked on repeatedly. The issue is he is still the same player today as he was when he was a frosh and entering his soph year. I highly doubt he has passed the required test for minimum acceptance for college play. Two and three years ago, he was full of potential. Today that ship has passed and it is somewhat tragic.

300+ D1 schools in the US, some school (if he's eligible) will give his athleticism a chance.

your right, nice post. Also his height dosen't hurt.

6'9" but plays taller, coaches like that, he could fit in the OVC.

He is a great shot blocker....has a Huuuuuuuuge Foot so he may grow another couple inches before its all said and done. He is sort of a primadonna on the floor and makes mistakes and can be beaten to the goal but overall how could you pass up a kid with his athleticism.

He seems very uncoachable. IMO, I don't think any D1 coaches would want to put up with that. If he were coachable on that level, he would have improved over the past couple of years at Shelby. He's offensive skills really hurt him. You can't be just a shot blocker.

Well...Huggins should pick him up then.

A friend of his in Carroll County says he has offers from Eastern and Western.

Juco may be the best fit if he isn't ready mentally but recruiters love thing that can't be taught, long, athletic, shot blocker, I don't know the kid personally, have only caught one of his games, but he's a menacing defender, not everyone has to be a scorer on the court, taking away 2 is just as good as scoring them.

HE DOES NOT HAVE AN OFFER FROM WKU. Your friend is wrong.
