Quickest Guys You Have Ever Played Against???

Featured Replies

The football thread (Hardest Hitting) got me thinking.

Who are tht quickest guys that you have ever competed against. I'll name a few that I played against.

Off the top of my head and in no order.

Harry Lewis - Mason Co (2000)

Jordan Stowers - Simon Kenton (1999)

Ronnie Dawn (not quick, but had the quickest trigger I have seen a shooter have) - Newport Central Catholic (2001)

Tee Commodore - Mason Co (2002)

Morris (don't remember fist name) - Russellville (2000)

Woo Woo Hagans of Hazard 1978. Hands down. Nothing even close. I know, I'm old.

Leroy Byrd of Bryan Station and UK.

Greg Black of The Maysville Bulldogs in 1983.

Jajuan Spillman (sp?) from Pleasure Ridge Park.

He is currently playing football at Uof L.

Gordon Miles from Franklin Co. Dude was quick and could get up too. Throwing it down at like 5'7.

Angelo Smith from Clay Co. He had no left hand, yet if you turned to force him left he could still beat most people back to the right.

Boo and Von Fields. I don't know if they were really that quick, or if they could just fit through any hole in the defense no matter how small. They could slip to the basket on about anyone.

Dicky Beal.

:thumb: :thumb: And it wasn't pretty...wasn't even quick enough to hold him!

Burt Pouncy - Holy Cross 1987

Corey Pouncy- Holmes 1988

Tony Commodore- Newport 1987

Dwight Anderson's nickname "The Blurr" was most appropriate.

Also, Dicky Beal might be a dead heat with Dwight as far as quickness goes, but Dwight was also fast.

Steven Kidd played at Elliott Co. and Rowan Co. was one of if not the quickest player ever to play in the 16th region.

Derrick Fitts, Hickman County, 1973. He is now a minister.

Kidd would be middle of the pack in terms of quickness in the 16th region (to have ever played)

Jason Strader of Ashland Blazer, John Stacy of Boyd County, Chris Plummer of Greenup, Jason Williams Morgan Co./Ashland Blazer...and speaking of quickness with the basketball you have to throw in Gabe Brown of Rowan Co. from a few years ago.

Strader and Stacy were in a different league in terms of quickness compared to Kidd. As far as creating their own shot and getting off a quick release, then I'll agree Kidd ranks right up there with some of the best.

Joshua Mack from University Heights is the quickest player that I have seen play in recent years.

Dickey was incredible in his day.
