Dawn was a very quick trigger... watched him play for Marshall in college vs. the KY Wildcats and he went off for like 24 pts... 7 fo 7 from 3 land I believe.

I bet he must have thrown up over 30,000 shots while growing up at the Ft. Thomas Armory.

I don't know about the armory, he was always up at NewCath with his dad perfecting his timing.

From Russell...Rick Hensley

From Boyd County...Dave Wooten

I can remember seeing him a lot up there but I can imagine he was spending countless hours up in the hill knocking down 3's.....

I held Dicky Beal to 4 pts. under his average. The only problem was that his average was 52 pts a game down at the Boy's Club. I also fouled out in the first half. Ha! You were not aloud to double team back then.

Charles Kenny

Charles Kenny

It's actually Charles Kinney and he is very talented. I believe he's still playing at Thomas More.

Easy, Dickie Beal, Holmes.

Speaking of Spillman, I believe I saw him returning kicks for UofL against WV last week.

That's him.

"JaJuan Spillman did a good job returning kicks. His 30-yard kickoff return in the first half was U of L's longest of the season."

Spillman also had 1 rush for 7 yards.

In 6 games played Spillman has 3 rushing attempts with a total of 23 yards.

In 6 games played Spillman has 3 catches for 36 yards (All in the Temple Game) (First game of the year)

Not sure of total kick return stats

..from "back in the day"...Leonard Slaughter @ Newport, Ralph Parton @ Conner, Jim Lokesak @ Ludlow, Mike Vories @ HHS (hands), Tim Sandfoss, NewCath (temper!) lol !!!

I would have to put Jerome Givens from Woodford Co. up there as far as raw quickness.

Another Highlands player that had very quick hands was 2004 graduate Nathan Hall. I believe he lead NKY in steals his senior year.

PG Michael Menser- Batesville High School, Indiana

Crazy quick! He was the starting PG for Indiana State in 2001 when he hit a 3-pointer with .05 seconds left to beat Oklahoma in the first round of the Big Dance. He led the nation in assist to turnover ratio and had 9 turnoverless games as a PG his senior year at ISU! Also was runner-up for Mr. Basketball in Indiana in 1997.

I'm sure everyone saw Spillman tonight. Its too darn bad that UofL had to lose though. Heck of returner he is.
