Thats the ones I was going to post. Although maybe not a state contender almost everyone thought that Central Hardin would win the 5th region and make some noise. I guess this hurts Pettigrew's colleges chances(I mean at a Major University) also at ETown, alot of the scouts like attend the regional and state games to see how kids react to that environmemt. and with ETown out that means no Pettigrew also.

Sad ending to a brilliant Career, I wish him a speedy recovery and the best at Evansville. Russell is no longer my favorite to win the 16th, what a blow this is for them.

Landon Slone had another big game with 26pts, hes playing huge at the right time, he nearly had a triple double the last game and there is no jealousy on this program like last season as far as I know. Van Fergason is as good as he was hyped to be and turned out to be a big help to this team, Grimm is a warrior in the paint and plays his role perfecty. Bundy is a nice PG with good D, and VanHoose although struggling and not playing to his potential could have a breakout tournament in the region. The Tigers are my pick to go to Rupp. And I cant wait untill the regional tourney. The PHS Tigers, Phelps Hornets, and the ACHS Runnin Rebels have already advanced, I can't wait...What a tournament it's going to be.:jump:

I may be wrong but isn't this a prett big upset, I thought Franklin Co. would at least contend for a region title.

In the 15th Paintsville and Shelby Valley are really relistically the only two teams I see having a shot to win the 15th. If I had to pick a Sleeper though it would have to be Belfry.

Thanks for you opinions guys. From looking at their schedule they don't have a lot of quality wins. I'd give them 6 quality wins at the most.... ETown twice 63-57 & 65-61 John Hardin twice 73-61 & 58-49 Franklin Co. 82-79 Louisville Western 74-59 with Meade County(17-6) being the best opponent still on their schedule These were the most talented teams that they have beaten IMO, I know not alot to talk about. The Miller kid is supposed to be a great player, a D-I player potentially.

I know he will not win he dosen't have enough pull but Jon Vanhoose at Russell could quit possibly be the best player in the state but for some reason or another he has been under the radar. Steffphon Pettigrew will win it more than likley. I'd take Gordon over anyone on the list he is outstanding. Thats just me though.

When I was in school a chance to play at Rupp ment everything and that was our goal throughout. An all a championship would have been great but after that we had one main goal and that was competing for a region title. I never did eighter of the two by the way but If I had to choose it would be a regional title and a chance to play in the big show. I don't regreat not winning an all a title in HS but everytime I pick up a basketball I think of what it would have been like to play at Rupp in the state tournament in front of 20,000 fans and i'm sure hundreds of athletes in KY that never had the oppertunity feel the same way. A feat that so many teams thrive to achieve, and the ones who do can cherish it their whole lives.

What kind of team does Christian Co. have?? Thats who Mason would possibly play in the 1st round. Could be interesting, I agree that Ballard-MC matchup does look pretty tempting.

The Johnson Kid for Cumberland is a stud, he is the best athlete in the mtns. with out a doubt.

I actually Like Paintsville in the 15th. They have the talent to play wit Warren Central or any team in the state But the 16th will be a tougher game for the 15th than most think. Russell with Vanhoose and Company could be the sleeper in the whole entirer tournament, IF they get that far. this is probabily the best the drawings have workout in a long while from to to bottom, every game should be exciting!...jmo

He would be much better of at a school like Shelby Valley where he could showcase his skills. At JBS he's made to look like a second rate player because they want Stepp to be the star, but really anyone away from the program can see who the real player is, He just dosent have the right last name..JMO
