I call an upset. Bath 21 LCA 14. Bath Co. has a lot of confidence coming into this game...As they should, having the best season in for quite some time. The last meeting between the two, Bath made it a close one for most of it. From reports from other coaches that have played LCA they don't have a lot of speed either. I think it will be a good game to watch.

Congrats Trimble County and the coaching staff there. Even if the scheduling is weak.... success is success. This is something to build off of and get kids out. Look for bigger things to happen at Trimble Co.

Response by CharlieWeis Hearsay, stay positive. Even though this one has been a political and ugly mess, ANYONE who can put a positive spin on the hiring of a new HC needs to do so. Those players are going to need every ounce of support they can get. The bottom line is that there has been a change, there is going to be a new HC, and the kids DO deserve better. But, dwelling on the things that have went down will not help one single young man in that program. Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond. Blaming the admins. or the super will not gain the players one thing. The players, parents, community, and school need to try to do their best to ensure that the community is not divided to the point of no return. From what I hear, I don't think that they are to point that point as of yet. There seems to be some optimism that things will get better. Look for Nelson to be anywhere from 4-6 to 6-4! With their improvement at the end of last year to build on and the excitement a new coach will bring, they will get it going!! I have heard on more than one occasion about Nelson County's super. I heard about the student sit in that she refused to come to. When is something going to be done about her to get more support for the kids and athletics? I have never heard as many horrible stories as I have about her. It seems as though her focus is more on the way she looks on camera than the entire school district, and I am not even from Nelson to think this.

If everything I have learned about Combs on this site is true, he will do a great job up there. Any confirmation of when they will announce it? They have done the best job I have seen of keeping it quite. What kind of offense and defense do you think he will run?

Who is Hood? What is his history? Bruner should do well at Nelson. Where is their former head coach going? What is the word on Rowan and Lewis counties? Does Western Hills coach have a good shot at Henry county?
