Trimble has a record of 6-1 on the season and that assures them the first winning season in 28 years. They also broke the school record for points in a season as they have scored 303 in 7 games. Good job guys keep up the good work. :thumb:

I agree. The new coach there (in his 2nd year) has really made the difference. He has the community there all fired up! And it helps that he has some players, like Bird, to use as a weapon.

 

Look for Trimble to be a force in the playoffs next year.

 

I hear that Hawkes (another junior, i think) can flat lay some people out on D.

Outside of Frankfort, their district next season should contain two winnable games in Bracken County and Gallatin County, and then there is Eminence, who I haven't heard yet if they are competing for a district title next season or not.

Congrats on doing this but do not stop now keep the W's coming.

What unfortunate is that I think Trimble's run will end in the first round of the playoffs this season. I think they will finish at 7-3 (remember, games remaining with Danville and Frankfort), and then lose their opening playoff game at Frankfort. They still are having a wonderful season.

THis is very true, but you have to remember they are 2 years removed from the states longest losing streak, in which they lost by a score of 1203-164. So any wins they get now are great. No they proably will not be regional champs, but congrats anyway to the players, coaches, school, and community. And they should be good next year in there new district, with Bird and Hawkes both back. :dancingpa

I agree totally. I'm very impressed with what Coach Poynter and Co. have done up in Bedford. I hope they can continue with their success. To add to what I posted earlier, Frankfort is good right now, but they tend to have up-swings and down-swings. A county school with good coaching (Trimble County) could potentially be able to wrestle hold of that top spot in the district and stay there.

It is the same Paul Desse. He was here as a Jr. and went to East Ridge. There were several of this years Trimble co. players brothers that played with Paul that had some talent but just could not put it together. :confused:
