Couldn't agree with you more JC Alumni 76. :thumb: I really thought the weak regular season schedule hurt us last year in not having us prepared to face a team like CovCath in the playoffs. Not saying any of the teams on JC's reg. season schedule this year is as good as the CovCath team from last year but with the addition of this game, Lou. Central, and Belfry hopeful it will prepare us more in getting ready for a deep playoff run this year.

Any more updates on the score, stats?

I know in the prediction thread there were some very different opinons about what type of game Conner would be able to give JC. Some said it would be over by halftime and a few thought Conner would give them a really good game.

Wow!!! Would be weird seeing Ashland start out 0-2, let along 0-2 with both losses coming to 1A schools.

Guess Conner isn't give JC much of a game.

Totally agree! :thumb: JC has everything in place to be a top team in 5A year in and year out. And last year defiantly was not a fluke. If they can develop a little more of a passing game to keep teams honest they could be a top 5 team every year.

I believe last year was Travis's first year as an assitant coach at PC.

Not saying your wrong on this Springsteen as I am not very fimilar with the situation at Fairview, but I do know that at Paintsville High School Bill Mike Runyon was both the head football and basketball coach along with being an assistant coach on the baseball team at PHS. Although he only was the head coach of both sports for one year most people didn't feel he was choosing one or the other, just that Paintsville being a small school and wanting to hire a new coach that would already be familiar with the players he was the best option as head coach for both sports.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family... RIP.
