This may be a different perspective on recruiting but I usually like to take a look at the other schools that are interested in a kid. I don't think to many other major schools were taking a long look at Williams, but Euton on the other hand was being looked at strongly by Duke and Florida and seems like I read the Billy D. had actually offered him a scholarship. If Duke and Florida wants him that usually is a pretty good sign. But it is still a crapshoot when they commit this early.

What do you mean how is that? I simply stated that it would be true that if Saul couldn't coach any better than he played that Tubby would be out the door. If Saul doesn't make a good coach then Tubby will already be heading in the direction he was going at UK. Surrounding yourself with inferior coaches because of the loyalty you feel toward them. Not a knock on Tubby, the guy can flat coach, he just needs to be careful with the coaches he surronds himself with. But then again you are right it's Minn. basketball, so no one cares.

Totally agree with you on that. I think CP's lost all creditability during the whole Billy D. saga. But it wouldn't surprise me at all if he went to UF.

A thread in the Cat's Pause is reporting that Siruis Radio is reporting Lucas to Florida, but we all now how reliable CP's is.

I would suspect that it is this way for a lot of athletes at major D-1 schools. Maybe not so much the cheating part but at least being put into majors that offer a lot of cupcake classes. Not saying it right because it isn't, just seems thats the way the cookie crumbles.

Yea... I mentioned that in my original post and agreed that you could scratch Pitino off the list If Billy D. came to UK 90% if the pressure wouldn't be negative, he would be a king in the bluegrass, kinda like when Pitino was here. I think Billy D. would get the same kind of uotpouring from the fans.

I can understand why you would be able to scratch Pitino off the list with the statement he released today, and can even understand the logic to scratch off Billy D., but why go ahead and scratch off Calapari? He would jump at the chance to coach UK and get out of Memphis.

Not four outstanding classes. Just FOUR CLASSES. With the redshirt of Jared Carter we have ZERO juniors. This would hurt any program from mid-major to North Carolina. Just can't have a blank class like that... and the class that just graduated is almost in the same suit. Three terrible players except for the 5 games Perry decided to put together over a 4 year period.

Patterson and Lucas was the best case sceniaro... I don't think we were getting Patterson no matter who the coach was and 3 out of 4 with a non-exsitent junior-to-be class still isn't UK standards.
