I know everyone thinks last year was a fluke, but they do have a lot of skill players back.

Why do you think everyone thinks last year was a fluke? I certainly don't. With the facilities they have, the coaching staff, the community support and the talent, I see no reason Johnson Central can't be one of the top teams every year.

Totally agree! :thumb: JC has everything in place to be a top team in 5A year in and year out. And last year defiantly was not a fluke. If they can develop a little more of a passing game to keep teams honest they could be a top 5 team every year.

I think Johnson Central can be a state semifinalist this season. If they can win their district, which they should, but it will be difficult, they likely will have Mercer County in the regional final. I'd have to see both teams a little before I make a prediction, but I think Johnson Central could compete with Mercer. Beyond that, I can't see them advancing to Louisville.

They would have a very tough time versus a team like Highlands in the state semi-final.

JCM...please do not include me on that list of "everyone" thinks last year was a fluke. I knew JC was for real before the season ended and my perception was confirmed solidly after the season was over.

Its going to be interesting to see just what JC puts on the field this year though. As much as I believe you all will be reloading (instead of rebuilding), its very hard to duplicate the success you had in 06 in light of how much talent you lost to graduation.

The Eagles must be odds on favorite to take the district and perhaps the region as well. With odds steeped in your favor, its going to be more and more difficult for JC to play the "poor ol moutain boy me" moniker and get anyone to believe it.

In an objective sense, I would truly enjoy seeing someone...anyone...from our part of the state take on the northern Kentucky teams and send them packing for a change. If it cant be the Tomcats, I still support or region come playoff time.

I think last year they had an outstanding team and could have competed against any team in there class on a good night... I don't know if they'll be as strong as last years team, but, if they are, I'd say they have the potential to win it all.. I'd think Highlands or Bgreen would be a favorite against them, but, other than those, JC would probably be expected to win and like I said, on any given night, they could beat anyone...
