Man, Jack Haskins is still coaching? That is impressive. I bet he has been coaching for 60 years or something. Good Luck Lone Oak and Coach Haskins.

The QB will be a sophomore....he was very productive his Freshman year. I was really impressed.

What is the head coaches' track record? What has he done?

I heard they don't put a lot of emphasis in their off season weight program. If they expect to compete in 5A, they better step up to the plate. It won't be handed to them in that class. JMO!

What was Lewis County's record last year? Do they have the abilities to compete in their district? I noticed they have East Carter, West Carter, Mason County and Russell. Sounds like a rough district to me. I never heard anything about Lewis County and was curious if someone had any insight on the team?

I'm sorry; butterflies isn’t a very good lift for football. I would have to say squat, all core exercises, bench and exercises that build fast twitch muscle fibers (speed squat, speed bench, band squat, band bench, chain squat, chain bench, etc.). I agree with whoever said that you can't mimic football in the weight room, so what do you do? You get as fast and as strong as you can doing your major lifts (bench, squat, deadlift, etc.). Just my 2 cents.

Here is another. Wayne Stevens, got the job late (June I think) at West Jessamine after a fiasco with the previous hire. They went 1-9 this year, which they had not as good talent as they had in the past to be competitive. Wayne Stevens will do his best to get them going in the right direction even though they won’t be much better next season.

Sounds like they are going in the right direction with the hire of Alan Short. I know Lawrence County is like Campbellsville College when it comes to producing football coaches. Every coach I meet seems to have Lawrence Co. or Campbellsville College ties.

What offense and defense does the coach run? How long has he been there?

Just curious, but who all had a new head coaching job this past year and how well did they do? What will their future hold at the school they are coaching at? :confused:

I'm a little confused....did Coach Mills resign, forced to resign, or get fired? Either way I know someone would like to have him on a staff as an assistant. Does anyone know where he might end up?
