the former tiger would be a great catch for WJ. I think he would fit quite nicely!!!

IS THERE NO LOYALTY TO YOUR FAMILY TO DO WHAT YOU CAN TO BETTER THE SITUATION FOR THEM? You guys make this out to be a he just changed his mind and decided to leave, no honor, no loyalty to Whitley co. A MAN'S FIRST LOYALTY IS TO HIS FAMILY AND TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM. FINANCIALLY, GEOGRAPHICALLY, FAMILY WISE, ETC.....

you guys are bashing this coach pretty hard... is it for certain that he is leaving?? HAS THERE BEEN AN ANNOUCNEMENT? OR IS THIS ALL RUMORS AND SPECULATION? I am aware of the old saying where there is smoke there is fire, but..... You still have to be accountable for what you say. it is easy to get on here and spout off. Secondly, if he were to leave for a job that would benefit his family with more money, less stress, better location, regardless of circumstances, can you blame the guy for doing what is best for himself and his family? His loyalties lie first to his Faith, his Family, then his job. He has to do whats best for them. if leaving is that path, then he must take the walk down that path.

so is he staying or leaving???

it is smart to rejoin district play in 07 since things will change abit, but who knows how they will change. good luck to who ever gets this job.

My understanding is that Pendelton doesnt play in district competition, is this correct?? something must have come up there, after coming off of a 6-4 season, with most of the losses being realatively close. What is going on there?

I would guess this will take more than a year to get done. I DO NOT think it can happen in roughly 3-4 months. Are the new facilities even done at Mercer? If they arent finished, where will heyput the new kids? too many questions, not enough answers, or enough time for this to be wrapped up by August. Maybe august 07

That is a cheap shot for sure, classy really classy. A guy gets a chance to better himself for his family and someone is on here wondering if he will do the right thing???? Chris Engstrand is a man of character, and will enjoy success at Henry Co.

I have an idea! How about we go to a 5 class system. The 5th Class would be made up of the Large 4A schools and Privates 3A or bigger in Jefferson and Fayette Counties. If you are less than 3A and private, you play up a class so O-Cath would play up into 3A. The rest of the schools that are left over are added up, divided by 4 and make up classes 1A-4A. The 5A class would be like a metro class where there are schools who have open enrollment and open districts. Let them recruit their areas and compete against one another. This would level the playing field for the County Schools.

Heard last night at a nelson Co game that former assistant Brandon Combes got the job. But that is hear say. I am no where close to the situation and have no inside track.

I have not seen an opening of any type for green county what is the situation there?

Great guy and great coach. Will do well if he is given the resources and time needed to make ACHS competitive.

Plenty of support, sounds like a good situation. why leave that for North?

I just checked the KDE website, for the past 60 days, and there have been no postings for Henry County. Guess the AD was just trying to find somebodies interested in the job for a quick hire and review if this cat leave there now. When does the SBDM at North Oldham meet?

I know a couple of guys that talked to them about the job. Just looks like this could get ugly for henry County if he leaves is 2 weeks to go to North, and they have to hire someone who will not get spring practice to get started. It will put them ata great disadvantage.
