For HC to have a chance, Campbell will have to stay out of foul trouble. They are a very average team when he's on the bench. Gabbard, Knochelman & Cox will all have to sacrifice themselves defensively to protect him. If they don't, this will probably be a 20 point plus victory for NCC.

NCC, Holmes & CCH are early frontrunners, not HC, at this point!

Fundraiser is at Paul Brown Stadium. Nice dinner and speaker, along with 12 silent auction tables, live auction, mystery raffle and open bar. 600 or so will attend. Event starts at 6PM. Yes, Marty is vital to the event's success, due to the event's reputation of having great speakers in the past. It becomes harder and harder every year to get great speakers, so you have to "take what you can get" when it comes to the date.

The reason the fundraiser is on this date is because that's when speaker Marty Brenneman said it had to be to fit his schedule. It's very unfortunate, but this is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year. Getting another speaker was discussed due to the date, but it couldn't be worked out.

Connor Callery from HC has to be in the mix!

If HC can force Ruthsatz away from the top of the key where his pull up jumper is deadly and pretty unstoppable, and limit Tobler's lay-ups, they should be in good shape. HC is the more talented team this year, but in one game, the more talented team doesn't always win. Still, I'll say HC by 8.

I would think Campbell would play Friday vs St. Henry. Fuller was on retreat and Pouncy has missed the last two games with the flu.

Don't know for sure. He did dress last night and participate in warm ups, but that was it. I sure wouldn't rush him back at this point. The Conner and St. Henry games are meaningless. Right now the only game that matters is CCH in the first round of the Districts. His type of injury (bruised hip) requires a lot of time to heal properly. If I was in charge (and thankfully, I'm not), I think I'd hold him out until the St. Henry game late next week, to give him time to heal, but also to get him a little game action before the Districts start.

Had to be a tough day for Logan Kenney. His father was laid to rest just before gametime.

I know he was really sick a couple years ago, but he seemed to bounce back from that. He delivered mail up to a few months ago, and I saw him at a few HC basketball games recently. This comes as a real shock! Does anyone know if his previous illness came back?

HC played the 4th quarter without Tony Campbell, which most would think would give the edge to CCH. They turn to Jake Burger for offense and he delivers big time. Then Jake fouls out with one minute and change left. With your top two offensive players sidelined and a one point lead, it's not looking good. The rest of the team steps up and shows why they are 24-2, winning by 6 points. Mentally, a big step for this team, demonstrating that they can still get the job done against a very good opponent without their two top players. Rematch should be a war!

Not bad scheduling. I'm sure Coach Goetz never envisioned winning all 12 games in 3 tournaments at the beginning of the year. Plus there was a possibility of getting a bye in the All-A regional which would have put them right at 30 games.

Yes, hopefully they will meet in the regional! I'm sure HC respects all the opponents left on their schedule. They don't KNOW they can beat any of them!

Pretty sure he coached at Anderson High School when he left. Have no idea where he is now.

From a fans perspective, I loved Frankfort. It's about 30 minutes closer to home and staying at the Capital Plaza, walking out the door to the games was awesome. I didn't have any problems with the free parking at all. The seating is much nicer too, since you can sit so close to the court. Really enjoyed walking around the town seeing all the history it has to offer. Walked to Rick's White Light Diner Saturday, which was featured on "Diners, Dives & Drive-Ins". He is one unique character! Great food, a must stop. Also ate at a local pizza place and a local home cooking place during the days which were only 2 or 3 blocks from the arena. Ate at Applebee's one night and Longhorn the other, which were only a few miles away. There were lots of other "name" restaurants around too. My only complaint is the cost for kids to get in. Knew someone who brought 4 kids and it cost him $50. That's tough for families!
