She could have still coached! The Masters was not even used as a reason,.

I think she got coach of the year for 2012. Makes you wonder..

So if she could still coach, why did they get rid of her?

She has some good young talent at Beechwood!

I could be all wrong about this but, a few years back didn't a superintendent go into Campbell County and let go quite a few coaches. Beechwood has a new Super and a new AD. The AD wants to move back to NKAC Div III and both coaches (basketball) were against the move back.

Couple of points to ponder:

 

..The BOE was told that both Coaches were warned...Absolutely, POSITIVELY NOT TRUE!!!

 

..Coach McCarty has a son who is standing in the way of some out of district, tuition students from playing time in football. She does have 5 kids in the school district. She says she is looking for a new home!!

 

..Teaching position is needed for new Boys Basketball Coach. ( I know no Masters)

Not sure about your first couple of points, but she did not teach this school year, so letting her go from her coaching duties has no bearing on a teaching position coming available, that was filled at the begining of the 2012/2013 school year.

Not sure how football got into this thread, but her son is a gifted football player who is going to have a larger role this year, her sons being a good football player and other kids playing time has no bearing on her being removed from her basketball duties.

The article in the paper said she was looking for a new home, not basketball home, HOME.

 

The PE/Health position was filled for 1 year, that was how it was posted last summer.
