Carey Ace Kenney has passed away

One of the better umpires from Northern Kentucky High School ( 9th region) fast pitch past away on Tuesday.

I know "Ace" for some time, played softball with him at the "city" back in the day and he had many umpiring duties in which my daughters teams were playing. Talked with him recently about the upcoming high school season, great guy, he was always fair and did a great job. RIP Ace, my prayers are with the family.

Prayers for the Kenney and Strinko family, i have had the good fortune of Umpiring with Carey for the past few years, a true loss for the umpire assocation and the community, God Bless.

I know he was really sick a couple years ago, but he seemed to bounce back from that. He delivered mail up to a few months ago, and I saw him at a few HC basketball games recently. This comes as a real shock! Does anyone know if his previous illness came back?

He was agood man. We will miss him. He definitely was one of the top umpires in Northern Kentucky.
