That would be a good game. If they don't hook up in the all a, they may not meet again this year. Looks like Lee will probably be the 1 seed with the way I see it, Powell will probably be the 4. Looks like my Engineers and the Owls as of now in the district.

Sounds like a hard fought game. I felt Johnson Central didn't show much class when Lee beat them at home for the championship of their tournment. Lee Co gave them a standing ovation, as did the Lee Co fans, when they accepted their 2nd place trophy, but nothing but cold stares as Lee took their champoins trophy. I thought that to be a little classless. But, hey, who likes losing. And, well, to be quite honest, our fans here in Estill can get rowdy sometimes too.

Just got back from this game. Glad I went to this one. Lee looked good and played good basketball and was in it the whole way, leading by a few in the first half. Perry shot a LOT more freethrows than Lee, and from where I was sitting (about 20 rows up by Perry's bench) it sure looked like Tyler Rich got beat to death. A pretty fair called game other than it seemed like Perry got away with a little rougher play down low the Bobcats did. But, the Comodores put it away in the final seconds with some crucial free throws. I do feel like Lee showed that they are a good team tonight and, I think, will be a force in March. Many predicted a blowout, but Lee had a chance to tie it with 9 seconds to go, but made a mistake. They also hit only 2 of their 3 point attempts, I dont know how many that they shot, but they missed a terrible amount of shots. Good game all around and good win here for Perry County Central.

Ill agree professor with your analysis of the 55th. It may be tough for Lee and JC being that these kids arent expected to win their disrtict very often.

As far as the 56th goes, Lee has to be the favorite for sure, they have beaten Estill, Owsley, and Powell and the tourney is at Lee. Things are falling into place for the Bobcats. But I think Estill is not far behind though.

On the other hand, ARC, how well do you think Rich would do guarding Gilbert. Apples and Oranges i think as far as players go there.

I think what he means is that this school has the ability to recruit, as it were. You can not compare this school to other small schools like Buckhorn because JBS has a college to help out its program and as a private school, has other benefits that other schools aren't privelage to. Like Bball King says, better hope the state dosen't seperate the private and public sectors, or JBS may be in for a shock having to play other, better private schools (University Heights, Lex Cath...etc)

Jackson City is really starting to show that they are not an early season fluke.

Oh, they have talent. Tons of it. They just need to win some big games. Get over the hump and then WATCH OUT!!

I love the gym in Breathitt Co. nice atmosphere. Now, on the other hand, I think we need an upgrade here in Irvine LOL! Lee and Wolfe both have nice gyms.

I am from Estill County, so my heart is in Irvine, but I am quickly becoming a fan of Lee County as well. In My Opinion, I dont think that you should not defend your team. Simmer down...lol, just kidding man.

I just hope we can play up to our potential here. We have a greatly talented team and I just hope that Cody and Clinton can really show this region what they can do.

I would argue that Rich from Lee draws more doubel and triple teaming (Johnson Central) than gilbert. I dont think he is a bad guy. The best player in the region as far as I'm concerned. He has tons of potential and is a great player. Dixon, from Estill, also draws a lot of double teaming, although I'm not sure as much as the above players. I wish Cody Gilbert success in the future at college and in whatever he does, because, frankly, he is just a teenager and I am a grown man, and I would never want to be putting down a kid, or making him out to be a monster. If I did this in my post, I apologize for offending you or anyone else.

Nice win here for the Eagles and, whew, I'm sure coach smith is counting the hours till he gets another threat on that team in R. Smith. Personal feelings aside here (hoping that Estill beats Owsley again on the 13th) but I hope that this kid can come in and enjoy what remains of his basketball career. And I hope he gets nothing but respect from fans and players alike. He has suffered IMO a lot by watching the first half of the season helpless as his team has had a terrible year. Hope he does well, just not to well in Booneville on the 13th...lol, just kidding.

Here comes the JBS fans to try to put out any talk about JBS other that they are the kings of the bluegrass. Listen up. I am not putting this team down. They are one of the top teams in the region, but I think they only hurt themselves in the long run by playing these smaller schools as many times as they do. Thats all. Cmon guys, dont crucify me for saying they play a lot of weak teams. They play some strong competition too.

They also lost that game too...im not saying that all teams they play are gimmies, but maybe drop one of the piarist or david school games and come play Estill or Lee or someone like that. Better competition breeds better basketball, thats all. I like the team JBS puts on the floor, just think they could use a couple of better games.

Coming off a close win over Jackson County, Estill takes on Cordia next. I think Estill can keep on winning here with a 12 point victory!

Nice win JBS. I would like to see a tougher schedule for them next year though. Maybe Estill county. I'd like to see that. But play in Irvine for me, its a long drive out to JBS...haha. But I'm gonna wait till the PCC game to see how good they really are. Pretty weak schedule so far. Dont get me wrong....i am not bashing those kids, just saying playin Piarist, David School, Allen Central, Riverside...not top notch competition.IMO.
