Flash Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Jackson all the way in this one. Knott jumped out to like an 8-2 lead to start the game but that was short lived. Once Jackson adjusted to the pressure, it never was close.
RonnieThePopular Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 WOW!! The Tigers are for REAL!! Good luck in the rest of the season over there. Coach Lively has to be up there in Coach of the Year running for the 14th.
The Professor Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Big win for Jackson City. I don't know what happened at East Ridge, but I knew the Tigers were a better team than that.
sportsazoid Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Tonight the tigers come out and showed they could play with any of the top teams in the 14th. The press put on by Thompson and Watkins confused KCC and they commited many turnovers. Davidson had a big night off the bench and Watkins played half the first quarter with a cut over his left eye. He had to change uniforms. Kilburn and Howard also had a great game and Fugate hit several from beyond the acrh. Good win tigers keep up the good work.
mountainwarrior Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 any stats congrats to the tigers is KCC slipping as of late I think i have seen a few loses in the past few weeks whats going on?
RoundLeather Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Tigers started off a little slow until the TO and then came out ready for action. Fugate and Davidson had the hot hand early on. I think Fugate had 18 at the half and Davidson had around 12-14. Not sure if Howard scored by the half as he only made 3 or 4 attempts, but he had plenty of rebounds and great inside defense to help lead Jackson to a 48-25 halftime lead. I think he finished with 11-12 points scored mostly in the third. The Tigers lead by as many as 29 the third quarter. Both JVs came in and played a good portion of the final frame. Watkins played a good overall as his defensive pressure helped the Tigers. Kilburn also played a great overall game as did the whole Tiger team. Thompson also had several deflections and steals out top. Someone told me after the game that 5 Tigers scored in double digets, and the 6th was close. I did not make a prediction in this game, but I did say that I thought the Tigers would and should be ready for this one. Great bounce back win for Jackson. Thought the crowd at the game was wonderful for Jackson. I think there should be no doubt that these kids deserve to be at the top of the region. Good Game Tigers :ylsuper:
RonnieThePopular Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I agree roundleather. They should be in the top 4 no doubt. Great story this year coming out of Jackson.
uk96 Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I am impressed with this Jackson City School. I never saw this coming . Its good to see the small teams do good.
ZinMaster Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 WOW!! The Tigers are for REAL!! Good luck in the rest of the season over there. Coach Lively has to be up there in Coach of the Year running for the 14th. The Tigers are very good compared to past years, but Knott is not as good as everyone has been saying. KCC has the players and the skill to be good, and they have been good this season, but they are in a "funk" offensively and their intensity is inconsistant at best right now. Very good win for the Tigers IMO. I predicted a 15 point difference in the prediction thread, and if the Pats do not get their game in order, they will have a losing record at seasons end IMO.
Pat Dad Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I didn't think that Jackson City would beat Knott Central, but they fooled me. JC has a very good team. I'm sure KCC will bounce back.
Bleed_Blue Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Knott will pull thorugh this week and keep playing there will brighter days for the pats i believe they can still contended for a regional championship....I havent seen a team shoot the ball worse than what knott did last night ..Congratulations Jackson ..It just wasnt the night for Knott co.
