I was just wondering who you all thought the favorites were to win the 55th and 56th districts this year? :ylsuper:

As far as the 56th goes, Lee has to be the favorite for sure, they have beaten Estill, Owsley, and Powell and the tourney is at Lee. Things are falling into place for the Bobcats. But I think Estill is not far behind though.

Lee County in the 56th.

 

Jackson City in the 55th........ I'm not sure if they have ever won the 55th. That may be their worst enemy when tournament time arrives. If they can get past that, and play under control, they will win it. They have the talent to do it.

Ill agree professor with your analysis of the 55th. It may be tough for Lee and JC being that these kids arent expected to win their disrtict very often.

If Lee runs the table, then they could be in trouble come district tourney time. Time and Time again it is proven that it is difficult to beat a team 3 times. In Estill's case, I believe it would be 4 times (Johnson Central tourney). Wow talk about tough!

Lee has to be the favorite here in this 56th. No other way to see it right now.

I don't know about Jackson City, but Lee hasn't won the 56th in 16 years. Yhey have to be very hungry for a championship.

LEE is the definite front runner in the 56th. I dont see any other team challenging them in district.

 

Jackson City has to be the favorite in the 55th they are playing to good and they will only get better.

Lee was not expected to win 10 games in a row

Lee was not expected to win the Country Music Highway Classic

Jackson was not expected to beat Hazard in it's own HIT

Jackson was not expected to play within 20 pts of Summerville SC

Jackson was not expected to control Knott as they did

I expect both of these squads to do well in their respected districts.
