Dad of a DAWG

JC seating is just like Highlands they just have one section of seats on one side of the field . But they don't have as large of a section that highlands have and one other thing that is different than Highlands is JC's team is on the side that the seating is as to were Highlands keeps their team on the other side of the field. So I would say get ready to stand up for the entire game because JC and the surrounding schools in the area will more than fill all the seats up.

I think LC does have good coaches I've been there in the locker room each week I seen each game plan they put together and they have been good one's but like so many people have said the coaches can't get out their and make the plays on friday nights they have had a very young team for the past two years and they have had very low numbers and IMO the only place coach G has came up short is getting the kids out to play for him why i am not sure you can hear a hunderd different reasons from people but the bottom line is he just hasn't gotten them out to play . Yes he lost two good kids to transfers last year but they was a pile of more kids in that group that just didn't play the kind of kids that could make a program . But you cant say that are coaches cant coach because if any one seen them play this year you saw a team that never quit they never put their heads down even when the game was out of hand these kids play with heart untill the last play of every game so I give the coach the credit for that even in the last game of the year agiants GC these kids practice like their record was 8-1 instead of 1-8 these kids love their coach and they show it by the way they play for him it's just that most of the time we got out maned by some teams with a lot more numbers then we had . If you look back on 06 season and look at the half time scores we was in every game but the numbers come in to play and we would just be wore out by the last quarter. I for one hope we kep the coaches we have and I would love to see them get some help . Good luck Dawgs in 07:D

Rockcastle pretty much has all of thier team back from last year I think they only lost a couple of starters but I'm not sure I am sure that JC will have to have thier A-game going because the rock will come with thiers they all ways do . Their won't be no two weeks off for these dawgs Billy want's them in the wieght room Monday right after school the new season is here for the 07 dawgs . Hats off to the Royals this was your all's game from the 3rd period on . You all never disappointed me with your class all ways have been a class program good luck next week on senior night. As for LC will we got one game left and I would love to see them pull one out if for no other reason then for #77 Kyle Carter who is a senior and will be playing his last game ever as a LC Bulldog.:thumb:

Lets go DAWGS the post season is still in reach .:jump: A win this week and a win next week then we are in . If this happens it will sure help get the program jump started for next year . Every body is talking about mason puting together a complete game well I for one would love for LC to play a game with no turn overs and no mistakes and then see what would happen . Every time this season we would get something going in every game we would make a big mistake or turn the ball over and just shoot are selfs in the foot. So I would love for both these teams to have thier best ball game of the year and I think LC will be able to play with them I think LC could have played with any one this year if it wasn't for their own mistakes all but maybe JC. That was a large hit . But one hit that most of Ashland fans might not have seen was when Kyle Carter chilled #71 it happend on LC's side of the field when thier QB was makeing a cut back this kid was in a daze for about 3 or 4 plays before he starting acting normal he was in la la land for a while but give him credit he never came out of the game he's a tough kid :thumb:

I have seen both teams play and IMO JC will come out on top. Ashland has a good team but I don't think it will even be close I think Mattney will turn his boys loose friday night and it might even get ugly. What I notice most about the two teams is JC will be alot more aggressive than Ashland . If Matt Thomas would lower his shoulders and just run hard it would help thier running game but from what I have seen is most of Ashland running back don't like to get hit and they are going to get hit hard come next friday night. I will take JC by at least 14 points because mostly it's going to be played at JC if it was at putnam well we all know how things goes their:madman: . Good luck to both I wish we had an open date this week because this would be a game that I would love to watch .

Nice win for the CARDS this is no surprise to me but I'm sure the pond creek nation is in shock most of them hasn't given SC any credit all season but I bet the next time they play they will be weary of the Cards. Good luck to both teams in the play offs:thumb:

All I can say about the game is Good job Boyd Co. And as for LC I will say that I love all these dawgs each and every one you all are a part of a special program that just happens to be down right now as it was when I played but things will turn around I'm sure of that hopefully it won't take long and when are program is back up to power you will be able to say with pride that you have been apart of this wonderfull program here in Louisa. Keep your heads up and lets win us a couple of games before this season is over I still have faith that it can be done but guys you all are in a hole and its going to take every thing you have to come up with a W but get it done if for nothing else then for the seniors that won't have next year to do it.

I'm not sure but I think it was in 99 when we went 12-2 with are only losses coming at the hand's of a Matney SC team and to the Bluebirds of Highlands .The loss to SC was played at LC and it was most likely the best thing to ever happen to that team that year it kinda brought them down to earth. And if JC was to lose to Ashland it might just be a blessing in diskise sometimes a loss can help more then it hurts. .

JC hasn't played what I would say a really good team this year but thats not their fault the sechdules are made most of the time 2 years in advance and if you look back 2 years ago and look at thier program then well I would say that this sechdule would be fitting for them . But now they have what they believe to be the best coach this side of the state and thats good for them to get behind him . I personaly think he's a pretty good coach but I also know that he hasn't done any thing YET that alot of other coaches hasn't I think if he stays at JC or goes some place were he has a lot of talent he will win a big game but as of now he hasn't . But I will say that JC will get to see a good team before they are done this season if it's Ashland or Rockcastle or Bell I don't know but they will get thier chance to shut every one up or get to eat a little crow. If they beat these teams then they will get the chance to play maybe Highlands or Lexington Cath. and if they are as good as they think they are then they will go to Louisville and repersent all of East KY . I would love to see them do it do I think they can ? As of right now I will say no . But I have been wroung alot more then I have been right . I just look at some of the teams we had in the 90's when we was winning by 40 and 50 points a game then we would go up agiants Highlands and they wouldn't even have thier starters dressed for the 2nd half of the game . But every year is different and maybe Matney is better then the coach we had and that will make the difference . I know JC is loaded this season and I think it's all going to fall on Matney's shoulder's if he pulls this out and beat's them then I think you can give him the credit as being one of the best around but untill he does he's just another good coach in my book. These young Dawgs are going to have to dig down deep because they will still have two of thier starters out . Boone is done for the season and Butcher is still injured that will hurt on both sides of the ball . Its going to come down to just who wants it the most . Are these dogs ready to stepp up and get this program started in the right direction or are they going to wait and let next years class do it . Come on Dawgs I know you all want this one bad so go out thier and play ever down untill the wistle blows make your reads and do what you all know how to do and you all can take this one. Boone did do a good job at QB but what you might not know is that he was are second qb. Are Starting qb Mark Fitzpatrick went down in are second game agiants Coal Grove and Boone stepped in and did really good with the passing game but it took a little of are option away but he was going to stay as the starter last week before he got hurt and LC went ahead and had to use Mark after he had been out for 3 weeks and yes he was rusty but I think 2 week of being back under center will get him back in shape to lead this offence I know when we played Sheldon Clark every body was talking about are Offence going to carry us this season well we have had several key injury's mostly were they hurt us is on the O-side of the ball . But now we have them all back and we will see a little more fire power .This will be a really good ball game to watch.:jump:

What's every ones take on this one guy's . Lawrence is coming off of a bye week and has every body back health wise except for Boone . Boyd just lost a tough game with Mason but showed that they aren't a push over . This should be a good game and IMO this is a must win for both teams just to keep thier playoff hope's alive. I think the Dawgs have started a new season after the bye week and will come out with the victory . GO DAWGS:ylsuper:

LC only has 7 juniors on the team and 8 seniors they are playing mostly shopmores and about 5 freshmen.

I couldn't have said it better Stick . I think are coaches are doing every thing in thier power . I sit in and watch and listen to thier game plans for each game and if every one else could then they could see that these coaches have good game plans for each game but they can't get out thier and make the plays the kids got to do it and this bunch of young men play thier hearts out every game they just get out man most of the time every team we have played this year has had bigger running back's then are linebacker but these kids don't stop they give it thier all every play . And thats how this program is going to get back on top . I would love to see Billy stay around I would love to go to a LC game 20 years from now and see him still on the side line If we did then I would bet that LC would hold a state tittle or two . Because look at the teams around here that has won the state look how long thier coaches have been with the same programs. I all so agree that the pipe line come up is full and these are the kind of kids that will stay and play for LC they won't jump ship I know most of thier parents and there the kind that believes it will all happen right here in Louisa . We all just need to tighten up are belt and get ready because guys it's comeing and the one that keep puting us down while we are down know this . They know LC will be back to the power house they was but they wont admit it but it's comeing soon and I still think this season we make the play off's and we get started now and next year I see LC winning the new district.

This is true he is going to have surgery Monday looks to be out for the season. I won't make any excuses we got beat last night by a pretty good football team they was well balance they ran and threw the ball pretty good . But I do know that LC had practice all week on thier passing offence I think LC was going to try and open it up some this week to take advantage of Boones arm . Then he gets hurt the day before the game and we have to play a kid thats been out of action for 3 weeks which in anybody's book would be hard . But with all that said we still didn't get the job done on the D side of the ball . We have two weeks to get ready for Boyd and if no body else gets hurt we should have every body back except for Boone . That will be a big plus for us going into the last part of the season and with a play off spot on the line . I think if the kids keep thier heads up they can do it . :thumb:

I think Lawrence Co has a really good chance this friday night they have gotten two of thier starters back that has been out for three weeks so they might be a little rusty but they are back . As far as Breathitt goes I really don't know alot about them but I do give them all the respect I know they have a good program just about every year and from what I have been told they are doing better this year then what every body thought they would but I don't know who they have played . I know LC has had a real tough sechdule and this should be a real good game. GO DAWGS.:dancingpa

Thats not true but this is how rumors get started by someone saying they herd it though the grapevines! #3 was out with a concusion this was week 3 for him being out he should be able to play this week #8 has been out for two weeks with a hip problem and #72 is out with a stress fracture to his ankle so NO one was is in suspension just banged up some . Hopefully they will all be back by the time we play Boyd Co. We need to win at least 2 of are last 4 games I think we can if we get these kids back.

Lawrence went into this game with 3 starters still out They was #3 Fitzpatrick & #8 Buther & #72 Patrick all three are key players but I don't think it would have changed the final out come of the game .This was JC's night Good luck the rest of the season and hopefully we will meet agian in the play-offs :thumb:

The coach that you are refering to is Joey Cecil, I know one thing for sure none of the problems that Lawrence has had is this man's fault. Joey is a class act that does things the right way. He is a tremendous football coach that all the players truly love. Not to mention he was the defensive coordinator during McPeek's 1st year a 11-1 season. He is the type of guy that you would want your son to play for. So that dawg won't hunt. Goldsmith on the other hand........lets just say he is not the coach that he was in the late 80's, I am not so sure that is it or is it the schedule that they are playing now compared to then. Back then they played both Carter County schools, paintsville, raceland, lewis county. Not exactly the toughest schedule in the world. He seems like a good guy, just not very consistent from week to week. I will agree with you 100% about coach Cecil my son as played for him and I know him very well he's a great guy . And thier's no one on the staff that has more passion for the game then he does you would have to come to practice and just set back and watch him work with the kids yes he gets loud sometimes but he know's thier's more in them then they do and he just try's to get it out of them and yes he does things the right way . He doesn't just coach these young men I know during the off season he stays after school and helps the one's that need help in the class room this is on his own time now guys if nothing else this should mean more to the parents of the ball players then any thing . I am very proud to know him and I'm thankfull for him being part of my son's life on the field and in the class room .:thumb:
