  1. I hope they do run down hill at the dog pound that would mean that they are running out of bounds because this field has the crest were it's suppose to it's in the center of the field and goes from one end zone to the other .The water drains down to each side line so go ahead and run down hill all you want because the middle of are D could use a break :jump: Good luck to both teams I know it will be a dandy game with a lot of class from both sides. And remember every Dawg has his day.:ylsuper:
  2. LC's field is in great shape it's the first game this year and nobody has practiced on it the track work is done and looks great I don't think they have the stripe's on it yet but that work never had any thing to do with the field Sure it might be wet but that field has a real large crest on it now thiers no water that stands on the field any were .
  3. Looks like Mark will be out for about 3 weeks he has a concusion I all so under stand that we have lost a couple other kids one being Ace Waller and the other Timmy Cantrell . The Waller kid has is arm in a sling and I think that the Cantrell kid just quit I hope that isn't ture he sure was a good looking kid with a chance maybe to play the next level at a small school . Even if all the kids was healthy come friday night they would have to play thier A- game now with all these kids out they will truely have to play as a team and an error free game no mistakes and no turn overs . I think it can be done they have played as a team so far just made a few mistakes here and their . But they will get on track and surprise somebody this year.
  4. Coty Roberts & Mark Fitzpatrick
  5. Looks like LC will be with out two starting running backs this week . But as far as backing up and hunkering down I DON'T THINK SO not in these Dawgs win or loose Belfry will know they have been in a ball game these two teams all ways provide big BIG hits all night long . And are kids will keep hitting no matter if they are down by 40 or up by that many . One thing is for sure these young Dawgs will lay the boom on you every change they get . And I think Belfry knows this as well as any one .Good Luck Dawgs now lets get it on:fight:
  6. I'm glad to see this post . You are right the big guys never get much credit like the backs and recevers do . But here's one old timer that know's you can ONLY go as far as the linemen can take you. People always talk about the great running backs from LC and most people in the area can name off a hand full of names but I bet unless your a LC faithfull they couldn't name one linemen . So thanks for this post and we will try and get the big boys names out and about :ylsuper: As far as LC lineman goes well you would have to mention Kyle Carter he's a dandy . He's got some support but they are young but I bet before the season is over you will here about a couple of others that's on the line with him :thumb:
  7. Thanks for the info . Go class of 82:ylsuper:
  8. I have heard every thing from they are a very good football team all the way down to they really suck . I really don't know a thing about them I don't even know were thier field is .If any one could give directions this old dad will be thier and see for my self what they have.
  9. I personaly wouldn't compare these two coaches at all first off Mr Haywood has proven him self as a Great coach he has the rings to prove it Matney has won some ball games but never any that really matters maybe if he keep trying he will but untill he win's the big one he's just another good coach. I do think he has fell into a pool of talent at JC and he should be able to go deeper then he ever has before but then agian we will have to wait and see . I have said for year's that JC is a sleeping giant so maybe he has waken it up. I think they are the biggest 3-a in the state so they should be able to make some noise lets all just wait and see
  10. Kyle did a fine job all night he really needs some help on the D-side of the line and I'm sure coach G will work hard on this next week . On the O-side of the ball Kyle and Cody Patrick opened up some of the biggest hole I have seen in many of years these two horses work well together . Back to the D-line when Kyle is takeing on 2 & 3 guys at a time then he might not be getting the tackles but he is doing his job because if he has 3 guys on him that leaves at least 2 of are guys free to make the tackles. and if you play LC you better put at least 2 men on Kyle or he'll beat you every time.
  11. Believe it or not some of us here in LC are pulling for the tigers because they have one of are own playing for them and I for one wish them and Him all the best . All so for JC except for when they play us
  12. SC is for real they should be able to hang right in there with Belfry . What I thought was going to be are strength became are weakness Are D-line was dominated tonight by a bigger O-line of SC . But I thought are Offence looked pretty darn good they was hole's thier that was just unreal and Coty doesn't need much to break it wide open . So good game SC and good luck the rest of the year.
  13. Isn't it funny how we can vividly remember things like these plays and stuff and turn around and can't remembers somebody's name that we grew up with . It just goes to show how we really loved the game . I too have memory's of sertain games and plays I can remember the one's from school that I played ball with for three years but I can't hardly remember the kids that I whent to school with for 12 years . I guess it's just a football thing
  14. Lawrence isn't starting a freshman at QB and the kid they will be starting is as good if not all around better then the sophmore we started last year thats not to say you wont see Boone under center before the night is over because he's a dandy and will be one of the better QB's that has came from this area before his four years are up . And as far as the effort by the bulldogs goes . They allway's give an excellent effort thats all they know when it come to putting out they will leave it all on the field every game they know thier's no need to bring anything back after a friday night game because it starts all new on Monday LC should be just fine this season and like coach G said in the preview they will go as far as their line can take them and I think that's true for all the teams.:ylsuper:
  15. I think the differance in this game will be team speed I really don't know what SC has this season but I know LC has speed not great speed but all over speed on both sides of the ball . If SC has the speed to match us then it will be a DAWG fight . To the end I still think it will be a classic with alot of big hit's from both side . Go sickem Dawgs .:fight:
  16. Lawrence Co is on 92.3 FM . And you can also see them on tape on the local cable channel #15 on Thursday's the following week.:dancingpa
  17. If they missed both extra points how did they get 13 points ?
  18. They scrimmage Montgomrey Co Saturday @ 10:00 AM @ Montgomrey Co High school
  19. :thumb: If I'm not mistaken I think JC has only beaten Lawrence Co. once in school history. And every body keeps talking about what a great season they had last year . Well I think LC went as deep into the play offs as did JC . So I guess we had a great season also well I don't think we did not with are Triadition but I can see JC starting to get things in order but I think its way to early to be talking state Champions thiers a little team down in Rockcastle Co that might have something to say about that and I know the Bluebirds will from up north. Jc better come down to earth and play one game at a time.:jump:
  20. Lawrence Co in a classic . GO DAWGS:banana:
  21. Thats great to know he is doing good I wish the best for him.:thumb:
  22. I was wondering how is the Dials kid is looking he should really be able to help out thier program this season .
  23. I couldn't think of a program that needed one any more then SC .Congradulation's :thumb:
  24. If this is true then I hate to hear it Brad has a lot of tools and could be a big help to us but I just hope he does good were ever he might end up.
  25. The line will be very young this season but they are a very good group of young men I went to some JV games last year and they did a really fine job they all had good size and they did what the coaches wanted them to do . I think some of them should have been playing on Friday nights .I don't know all thier names but some of them are the Harles he's a big kid and the webb kid really looked good they have a carter it's not Kyle but he's a good player and the Delong kid will be a senior then thiers Kyle Carter he's a two year starter there's a Patrick kid that has great size and should really be able to step up this year thier's a freshman to be that most likely will see some time on Friday nights his name Ben Perston thiers also the scarberry kid he's a 2 year starter thier's more but I just don't know all there names but I think this line will be better then we had last year. Let's hope.
