Is Matt Thomas the only senior on the team all I hear about is Thomas. Isn't thier any other seniors thats been with the program for four years and has worked just as hard as he has or be cause they just might not be has talented as Matt they don't deserve better . Maybe thats why this class hasn't done so good because ever sence we have played them in freshman J.V all we ever hear about is Matt Matt Matt well I'm sure he has some pretty nice class mates because I've seen them and they also seem to be pretty good kids also . What I am trying to say hear is they are other kids there that have feeling and are just as much of a tomcat as Mr. Thomas is .

Congratulations Boyd this put's you all right back in the district race.

Congratulations to Rowan Co. And hats off to there fans they only had just a small hand full but they made more noise for the entire game then our side did even when they was behind which wasn't for long but any ways what few fans did travel with them are good and true fans of their program. Now for the game Rowan is just like every body said they have some very good players and alot of speed they came into the Dawgs house and won it tonight. LC didn't help thier self any they gave up the big play right after takeing the lead . We moved the ball up and down the field all night but had trouble getting it in the endzone. I would like to see the stats of this game . We had one kid taken to the hospital to night Drew webb I hope he will be ok I really didn't see what happen to him and Ben Preston was carried off the field but came right back in on the next series he's one tough kid and for senior night will Cody patrick I thought stood out he had several tackles and played one heck of a game . Acie Waller had some nice catches tonight and Tim Hays made some nice runs also and Brad Lanye had a real nice return tonight also Josh Ferguson and Brian Scarberry had a solid game and Coty Roberts well what can you say this kid runs has hard has any one I have ever seen . Maybe I shouldn't have gotten into naming name because you all ways miss some one but I just wanted to let people know these seniors gave it thier all and tonight they came up short. We have two weeks to get ready for Greenup and if these seniors ever want the chance to play in the pound at least one more time then it's a must win. Good luck to Rowan next week and for the dogs take the next two week and get the kinks worked out thiers still alot of football left in the season :thumb:

I look at Greenup the same way I have looked at Johnson Central for years I have all ways thought that JC was a sleeping giant and when the right personal comes along and wakes it up then look out . I think JC has the people in place and it started at the AD position then he brings in a pretty good coach in Matney . JC is a very large school just like GC with alot of kids to pick from . Like I said GC is a sleeping giant and they will be a day when they get woke up and I just hope we are up to par for the battle .

My vote would have to be coach Burchett from Johnson Central he use to be at Lawrence I think of him because of all the guys that got to run to ball behind his line's that are just about all ways in the top of state in rushing look at all the backs from LC that broke state records and the one's from JC the past two years . And I think when he was at Burbon Co they had a kid that led the state in rushing or was at least near the top . These kids couldn't have done this with out a great line in front of them . So I pick him if for nothing else then his resume. Wish he was still here in Louisa along with the staff we all reday have in place.

If this kid has quit the team and the coaches let him come back then IMO this will hurt the team more then him quiting . He was given a gift by this team when they let him come back to play for them after all the other kids had to work all summer now it sounds like he trowing this gift back at them . We had a kid a couple of years ago at LC that did pretty much the same thing and I thougt then that it was a bad choice for the coaches to let him come back and play but he was a talented kid but he ended up quiting anyways then are B-ball coach let him do the same thing on the basket ball team the same year and guess what he quit agian go figure. If this kid quit then that team doesn't need him they need the kids that won't quit when the going get tough.

This is Lawrence Co. senior night and I for one would like to take the time to just say thank you senior's for staying with the program when so many of your class mates either quit or transfered to another school . I remember when you all was in middle school and they was over forty some kids on that team but now they are just Eleven of you it would have been easy to leave or just quit but I am so glad you all stayed and worked so hard on trying to get this program back to were it use to be and I think in the future this class will be remembered as the one that got it turned around so once agian thank you senior's Coty Roberts Tyler Hinton Timmy Cantrell Cody Patrick Tim Hayes John Pigg Brian Scarberry Josh Ferguson Acie Waller Jeff Cyrus Brad Layne And good luck to all of you all for what ever you decide to do in the future and remember you will all ways be part of the Dawg Family:ylsuper:

After seeing both of these teams play I will say they both have very good teams and they both have a GREAT coach at this point and time I will say Belfry is better but its along time away before these two highly respected teams will have a chance to line up with one another they both need to look at the game at hand and play each week one at a time . this week I kind of thought that Russell might be over looking LC because I heard more about them and Mason Co then I did any thing else but Russell took care of the job at hand as they will need to each week in order to get a shot at Belfry thiers a couple of teams that Belfry better be ready for and that would be Breathitt Co. and SC . I think right now if any one has the better chance of getting Belfry it will be the bobcats of Breathitt I will know more about them in a few weeks because we play them all so we have allready played the # 1 and #2 teams in 3A and Breathitt is #3 right now but hey that just my opinion thats why they play the games . Good luck to both of these teams it should come down to a classic in 3A .

Looking forward to watching Mr. Jones play tonight I have heard a lot about him and how he likes to hit . Well he gets his chance tonight because he's going up agiants a team that love's to hit also . It should be a dandy of a game from that point of view . Which offense does Lawrence Co. bring to the field tonight will it be riding the arm of Boone Goldsmith or the legs of Coty Roberts either one would be fine but both would be great . I think for LC to win this thing there Defense will have to play a great game this game is going to be won by the team that controls the line of scrimmage our D-line has looked pretty good the past couple of weeks if our guys step up and get ready for allot of misdirection stuff tonight and keep their QB in check then we win . But that's easier said then done so it will take a team effort LC needs to play as a team so weather its Boone's arm or Coty's legs they know they can't do anything with out their team mates . I think both of these teams want this win in the worst way both of them need this win but to say that the losser will lose thier players well I hope not I hope every one knows that win or lose the loseing team will have a chance to get it back in the play offs and most likely agiants the same team . So who ever win's this game just might have a harder time getting the win when they play agian in the play offs because we all know its much harder to beat the same team twice in the same season if both team's are pretty even. Now if one team comes out Friday night and just dominates the other team then you might see the ship start taking in some water but they will still be time to right the ship because they are 3 more district games to play .I know LC has had a good week of practice and they seem pretty focused on whats in front of them but they better be ready for an old time knock down and drag out . I don't know anything about Beechwood but they are always at the top of there class. As for P'burg they have speed lot's and lot's of speed that should make them able to play with any one in there class .

Lets here it which one of these teams is going to step up and take control of this wide open District . Both are hungry for the first win of the season and with that win they will be in the drivers seat . LC has shown signs of improvements in each game Mr. Tim Hays got to play in his first game of the season this past week and he showed why we all wished he had been playing all along his presents was know friday night he really helped on both sides of the ball . As for Boyd they have shown that they can play with the big boys in the area but have came up sort in each game . I think it will come down to who wants it the most . I know they both have to be wanting it real bad I look for a very good game in Louisa this Friday at the Dawg Pound.:flame:

The score might not have shown it but believe me they beat us pretty good I think every one of us felt like we had whent 10 rounds with Mike Tyson after that game . It was one of the toughest games and hardest hitting games I was ever in and if you remember right it started before the first wistle was ever blown . We was doing our warm ups at the end of the field were thier locker rooms was at and they came out and started the mouthing and spiting on us for the get go . I know the shirt you are talking about they made them up and gave each one of us that was on the team that year a free shirt that said beat P'burg we was so fired up that week when we played them but they still beat us pretty good that was in 1981 .:creepy:

Lawrence has a team that can run the ball but they have committed to the spread offence and I think they are just trying to get this system working I for one think it can . Do I think it's the best choice well thats up to the staff to decide they know these kids better then anyone of us do they see them every day in practice they know what they got . Are they useing them to the best of thier ability I want to think so because like I said they know the kids better then we do . Yea we got some kids that we think are better then another and should be playing more or at a different position or what ever but I will just keep preaching for us to support this team thats what they need more than anything else . We have played 3 very good teams and we will be playing another very good team this week . All I will say is that we need to just keep supporting these young men and I feel sure that if the coaches see's that they need to move people around to make us better then I'm sure they are men enough to do it because I don't think they like losing any more then the kids do . I just keep telling my self hey thier the one's getting paid to coach not me and I'm sure they know that if things don't turn around then most likely they won't be getting paid for much longer . I also know that several of the coaches doesn't even get any money for helping so how could I complane about that because it takes alot of time to do what they do . I will support these dawgs in the good time and the BAD . I still believe we can make some noise in our district but it's not going to be easy by no means. First of all congrats to the cards they played enough to win this game. Now for the comparision from an LC point how do I think SC compares to Belfry as of right now I would say that there is no comparision I really think Belfry has alot more then SC does I am taking what my son has told me and from what I saw from the side line my son said belfry was way stronger and much much more pysical then SC and what I saw would be the same point of view SC has a good team with one big go to guy The Dials kid is a HOSS a vey strong hard nose kid IMO if they played next week Belfry would name the score but I have been wroung before . I Don't want to get SC fans upset this is just my point of view SC has a good team and good fans and GOOD LUCK the rest of the season. As for the Dawgs well lets try and get this thing on track next week I think we will or should see some changes next week because I still think we are a better team then what we have seen .Changes need to be made in certian areas and I'm sure the staff will take care of it as they see fit.

Breathitt Co. should have a very good team what i am baseing this on is when we played them last year they had very good team and on thier roster they was starting mostly sohpmores and juniors I don't think they hardly had any seniors last year . So if thats the case this team should be soild. Going into this season I thoght they might be the best team in 3a but after seeing Belfry last week I think they will be hard to topple . I also know that Seldon Clark has a very good team and after this Friday night I will be able to compare them to each other . Good luck to both team in this one .
