Congrats to JC on the win and good luck next week

Great game by the Cats. Just a little short

Great game, Tomcats! Hopefully Rockcastle will not prepare for the Golden Eagles as well as Coach Hart and his staff prepared Ashland for tonight's game.

I really expected Matney to run something for Taylor or Welch with time running down. Tommy Taylor has been overshadowed this season by Grim's gaudy numbers, but he really rose to the occasion tonight. This game should answer questions about whether Johnson Central would wilt under pressure in a nail biter. Both teams made big plays under a lot of pressure tonight. Again, congratulations to both teams on an outstanding display of high school football!:thumb:

Great game. Good luck to JC next week. Thanks to the Tomcat players for all thier hard work and another great season.

Johnson Central also showed tonight that they aren't a one dimensional team. Ashland stopped the run, but the Eagles scored on 3 big passing plays. Great play call by Matney for the game winner. I had a feeling he was setting Ashland up for just such a play.

Congrats to the Tomcats on a super effort, and to the Eagles on advancing to the regional final. Each and every player should be able to hold their head high after this performance. This was just the kind of game Central needed to prepare for next week (though we fans didn't need it to be quite such a heartstopper).

JC had to show some of its passing potential tonight to win this one, now that it is out of the bag let's hope they reallly reach it in practice and next week's game.

thanks to the Ashland fans who posted the link to B97 as well. Hope all have a safe trip home, and we look forward to renewing the rivalry next year. We can officially call it a rivalry now, right?;)

Wow!!! I am very impressed with Ashland. Big heart ! Way to hold Grimm to 47 yards...

On a sour note, Dickie says that there is no way the Golden Eagles will beat Rockcastle next week. In other words, he just belittled both teams that played tonight.

Dickie does not do much to promote goodwill for the excellent Tomcat program and its classy coach. To his credit, he does a great job of letting you know who made the plays on both sides of the ball, but there is no excuse for his classless commentary.

Congratulations to JC. Big win for a program on the rise. Good luck next week, and hope to see you in Louisville.

Congratulations to Ashland - a team that was predicted by most to take a serious tail whipping tonight. The staff had the kids ready to play, and they stepped up. No shame in losing to a team as talented as JC, on a night that they played as well as they did.

Great game by both teams.

Good luck to JC next week against the Rock

Sorry to quote myself, but just to clarify, there is nothing wrong with Dickie predicting a Rockcastle win next week, but the timing, tone, and manner in which he made the comment was inexcusable. I wish that I had a clip to post.

I must admit I was one of them. The Ashland staff did a great job of getting the Tomcats ready to play, and the young men played their hearts out. Thanks to all the Tomcats for making all of Ashland proud. You can hold your heads high guys. :thumb: :thumb:
