I was listening on the radio and the announcer said Danville won the coin toss in overtime and elected to go on offense first. If this is true, which I have my doubts, based on this announcers ability to announce an accurate ball game on the radio. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, why would you elect to go on offense first?:confused:

Yeah, it wasn't pretty but we'll definitely take it. Hope we came out with no injuries. There were lots of mental errors/penalties that cost the Rebels on several drives. On the drive that Lafayette did score, Boyle had them 4th and goal at the 5, then we had a personal foul called that gave them 1st and goal at the 2 yard line. It then took Lafayette 4 downs to get the score. Solid performance by the defense. Good job Rebels.

Thanks for the stats Rebel. There are querky things that happen in High School Football with extra points, so I thought it was a fair prediction. Whatever the score turns out to be, I see it very close with Rockcastle pulling it out at home.

I agree, if there's a trap game on the Rebels schedule it would be this one. However, I look for Boyle to stay focused on that big prize, and take care of business. Macsharra needs to have another good game to control clock, and another good game out of our punt team for an advantage in field position. It makes things alot easier for your offense when your playing on a short field and things alot more difficult for their offense when forced to play with poor field position all night. Great job Rebels. This was a sweet win for Boyle County and all the fans. I agree the atmosphere, the field condition, the weather, everything about tonight was perfect. Great home opener. Did anyone get to see the WLEX18 highlights of the game (cool):thumb:, I TIVO it every friday night in case I miss it. Go Rebels, full steam ahead.

This team is really playing well right now, It's good to see them having fun and playing as a team. I think if they stay focused all year, They can be in Louisville on that first weekend in December. I'm not surprised, Coach French is awesome, and we also have another wave of good talent coming through. I look for the Rebels to be a factor for the next few years based on our underclassmen. Go Rebels, keep it up and don't let off the throttle.:thumb:

I think the Rebels smell blood and will come out with a tenacious "D", that will be the difference maker in this one. Boyle will need to establish ball control with Rees McShara rushing the ball, and avoid that big play potential of the ADS. I will say.. Boyle 28 Danville 12 GO REBELS!!!!

Congratulations ADS, this sets up the big showdown 9.12.08 at Rebel Stadium. I am looking forward to it. Should be a close, tense game, as most rivalry games are.

The decision to go back to the "REBELS" decals was made by coach French. I liked the decison myself. We are known by every one as the "Rebels" who made that great 5 year championship run. May even bring some psychological advantage. I think Henry Clay may be down some this year, but the Rebels have been very impressive in their opening victories aginst two 6A schools, (H.C.) was ranked 7th in class 6A. So, great job Rebels, stay focused, and good luck against the ADS.

I think Coach Harp will have the Admirals prepared, but if Danville doesn't improve on some of their weaknesses of last week, I could very easily see Southwestern upseting the ADS. I will say... Southwestern 28 Danville 24 Good luck to the ADS..
