  1. I'm sure Shaun would let you all have a million state rings for this super bowl.
  2. That is in the works. The $100,000 they got recently is going to help finish alot of things up. It will all be fixed soon, and once the parking situation is fixed, the park will be one of, if not the best outdoor facility at NKY school can claim. It already is a nice facility. To go back to the Ludlow posters, I will be shocked if Hc doesn't beat Ludlow atleast 70-80% the times they meet. Also the game a few years back with Stone and Armstrong. If those teams play 10 times most of them are blow outs.
  3. Pre-season most publications listed it that way. I think that is his point.
  4. I could see a Bulldog making a list, but no way a MC D All American.
  5. Thats my point, if your team plays hard its easier to get them to follow a defensive plan. Even a simple motion offense is much harder to perfect and score alot, than teach could man to man help defense.
  6. Watching HC play NCC their are 2 main keys to beating NCC. 1. Keeping a body on Keirnan, and make him start his moves out higher than he is comfortable. 2. Contain Bueters penetration.
  7. No HS coach is fired in the public eyes. But coaches are forced out behind the scenes.
  8. Henderson did not enter the game until the closing minutes of the 1st half.
  9.    Let it go they were legit players. Who their district high school did not offer a football team at the time. The were youths who needed guidance and the program they were invovled with thought HC was a good fit. Let it go, I have a feeling HC will have quite a few wins over Ludlow in the years to come.
  10. Sure its easy to teach if you have the natural ability. But you can't teach natural ability. Defense can be taught, a kid can learn in a much shorter time span on how to be a good defender. A kid can't learn in a short time how to shoot the ball alot better and what not. I've noticed in just coaching middle school aged kids, its much easier for a player to become a good defensive player. Offense takes much more time and requires ability you can't teach.
  11. I think offense take alot more natural ability. Its according to what style you want to play. But in my mind a coach with a good defensive plan, can keep an average offensive team in any game. And any team for that matter that has the talent to be a great offensive team, also has the talent to do so on defense, they just need their coach to instill the right plan.
  12. I think the style of play Highlands plays will hurt them more against Holmes in my opinion. If Vories was to play the penetration game, I'm sure Jefferson is licking his lips.
  13. Defense is a much easier tool to be taught than offense.
  14. It should be but its the personalities that hold them. But most people who know 9th region basketball. Wouldn't argue that any of those 4 would probably be the best player on any team in the 9th outside of 2 or 3 teams. Without a doubt everyone would be atleast the 2nd best on every team in the 9th.
  15. A bus ride? HC players show up in cars probably to the ALL A and most live no more than 8-10 minutes away.
  16. I've come to the conculsion why Edomonson doesn't score like he should or I predicted who would after his freshman year. Holmes offense has him as an idle shooter. Edmoson is a good shooter off the dribble and is able to create off the dribble. But with all the option on his team Rice, Henderson, Jefferson, and Hill, he just doesn't get the oppurtunity. The one game where he was the man, he proved he could do it.
  17. Understand its Newports home floor, but HC already beat them at Newport once, so how much of an advantage is it really?
  18. This is not completly true. If a varisty basketball coach know there is a good player walking the halls. Don't think for a second they won't atleast try and find out why they are not playing. If you have a 6'6 kid walking the halls not playing, i'm sure most coaches as the question why not.
  19. I've just never heard in basketball a player being awarded an assist, and not being the passer that threw the last past.
  20. Same here, i've never heard that definition ruled in basketball. I don't think any credible stats keeper would reward an assist in that instance.
  21. It will affect Beechwood much more than it will Holy Cross.
  22. With Timmy T being out for a majority of this half, you could make an argument HHS and HC had more conisistent backcourt play.
