Alexander vs Trinity article in CJ

This is a great article. Almost makes up for that tripe he wrote in September. That 94 title game remains one of my favorites of all time.

Trinity had no trouble stopping Seahawks star

"I've got friends with kids who wear Shaun Alexander jerseys, and they send the kids over to me and start laughing," former Trinity defensive lineman Jimbo Schaffer said. "They'll say, 'Ask Jimbo about the day he tackled Shaun Alexander.' "

I'm sure the '94 Trinity alums will have a little fun on Super Bowl Sunday reminiscing of the State game, but in all honesty Shawn is having the last laugh. Go Seahawks

^ don't be so sure...many of us knew that we would never play pro ball...we got CLOSURE they way we wanted to our high school careers...I had a blast that game...

That game is one reason I will always believe that Dennis Lampley was and is the best.

I asked Shaun about that game and he said it still bothers him that the State championship game was lost. And seeing him a year later running for a Bama record against LSU and 4 TDs still doesn't make sense about the Trinity defense. Give the Rocks credit and I hate the fact I missed the game and would love to see a tape of it. I have all of Shauns Bama games on tape. Loved beating "Darth Visor" twice in one year and also at the Swamp in his senior year.

"Alexander and his wife, Valerie, have a 6-month-old daughter they named -- honest -- Trinity. "

Now that's kinda funny, don't you think. ;)

Maybe a little respect for that team, huh? :D

I wonder how much thought was put into that. :D

Clearly, we see who wears the pants in that family.

Alabama,

There are probably plenty of people on here with a copy of that tape.

How many times did Boone pass that game?

I love it. Wish I'd have thought of it. ;) If he is like most Dad's that daughter will control him completely. Maybe it made sense to name her after the last ones to control him.

Not many and it was ugly when they did.
