  1. How long did Ryan pitch and how did he do statistically do you know??
  2. You're short one "G" but who's counting.
  3. :thumb: :thumb: I just wish Luke's third sport was football instead of golf though.
  4. From what it looks like now there will be atleast 4 or 5 freshman starting for CovCath's JV team consistently and probably more than that on some games. After seeing them play a little longer, Maile is definately top 20 freshman in the state without a doubt. Also Zach Isler has to be close to the top 20 freshman in the state too.
  5. I didn't get it at first either, but later I realized that a lot of their students in the student section were dressed in superhero costumes. I guess it was supposed to be the theme even though it was very weak participation, so that response was going along with their theme.
  6. Sophomore class to be IMO there's only two players that will compete for significant varsity PT and they are Lee Schotsman (sp?) at O-line and Kyle Restle (sp?) at Linebacker. Junior class to be obviously Brent Buckley who started last year. Andy Schulte is a probable starter at O-line. Kyle Furnish IMO one of the best all around athletes in the school to replace Brett Sutton at DB. There are other juniors who will be competing, but those are just the top three IMO.
  7. I'll be there as a proud Colonel Crazy.
  8. I think the importance of spring practice depends on the coaches and the players. If they want to go through the motions and just make it glorified agilities and conditioning then it won't be any more important than everything else teams do all winter/spring. Some coaches look a lot into spring ball though in determining who is going to be in what position, and who can get the job done at certain spots.
  9. Both D Noll and Schult are more of finesse big men. Granted they do play the 4 or 5 spots, they are not doing their point scoring by overpowering the defender. It is their movement and shot range in D Noll's case that allow them to score.
  10. I just keep on hacking. I figure the way I've done things has always worked, and I know it's mental, so why change anything physically. I just make sure I concentrate on swinging at the good pitches, because when I'm in a slump I'll sometimes find myself trying to get walked.
  11. Covcath has a web broadcast of all football and basketball games on the school website.
  12. I couldn't possibly guess who the top twenty in the state are, but I know the best one at CovCath is Luke Maile. I'm not saying he's top 20 in the state, just that he's very talented and the best freshman at CCH.
  13. My entire life I've had a Wilson glove and I will probabaly have one for the rest of my life. I like the TPX bats, but I'm not to picky about that. I've had so many different brands of batting gloves I can't even count them all. As long as it's a good brand I don't really have a preference. Hats either Zephyr or New Era. I prefer Nike cleats. That's pretty much the only brand of cleats I get. The uniforms I don't really care one way or the other.
  14. How'd Covcath's big men do tonight??
  15. Is there a time out or is it a really long 3.5 seconds?
  16. Although a little late, I have to come to BFritz's defense on this. Like I said earlier, I would expect Highlands players/fans etc. to be offended by this comment, but like BFritz said it was taken the wrong way. He was simply expressing his opinion not stating it as fact, and he isn't the only one who thinks that whether other people say it or not. Just thought I'd give my two cents.
  17. Despite the accuracy of that post, some people are still going to take offense to it.
  18. I agree except that he's not that new so I don't understand why he would even say that.
  19. That is what he is talking about in general, but I dont know if that story is true or not becasue I have heard a few stories about it's origin myself.
  20. I've always grown up with Highlands being called the Cake Eaters by CovCath. I don't think I've ever been called a cake eater, and never heard other schools saying it to our student section as a whole either.
  21. Isn't calling Highlands students and fans "Cake Eaters" supposedly degrading a community based off of socioeconomics too?
  22. Really, I've always known it being for Ludlow. We said it when we played them in pewee too.
