MJK3490 Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 I believe cch can make a run at the state title this year. What is your opinions?
BigColonel Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 They are always going to have the make-up to have a run at the state title. This year should be a good one. The offense will have a slightly different look this year. Relying on Josh Bleser's arm (where as in 2005 they relied on Drew's legs). With Bovard and Sutton (I'm pretty sure he's back), they should be able to spread the offense and get the ball down the field. They will need to tighten a few things up on defense. They played great at the beginning of last year, but faltered down the stretch. It was mental lapses on defense that cost them the Highlands game. If they can work those out, they Colonels are going to have a big season.
NineOh Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 I would think the offensive/defensive line will struggle but the skill positions are loaded. With the line losing players/leaders like Spradlin and Fangman, some younger guys will need to step up. The senior class, however, is loaded with skill positions. It will be fun watching Bo, Sutton, Castenada, Brown, Bleser...
Sandman Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 It's been almost ten seasons since the Colonels have played in a state title game. I'd say it's time for them to start putting up some wins in November. Really haven't made a playoff run of any sort since 01. CCH won five state titles from 87 to 97, and I guess the wheels came off. Still a good program, but are they elite anymore?

I think this may be the team to do it, but time will tell.
Oldbird Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 What does Cov. Cath. have in the Jr. and Soph. classes to be?

Covercorner Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 If Bovard is back, I can't wait to see him and Ben Revere from Lex Cath match up agian. Sure CCH fans wouldn't mind that being in the region finals.
h.s.sportsrbest Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Still a good program, but are they elite anymore? No, we are just a little program in Park Hills trying to keep up with the juggernaut programs in Ft. Thomas, Lexington, and Boyle Co.
theguru Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006  The ingredients are all in the kitchen at CCH.:thumb:
stickymitts Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 No, we are just a little program in Park Hills trying to keep up with the juggernaut programs in Ft. Thomas, Lexington, and Boyle Co. It's ironic that you posted that while quoting SANDman. I think CCH will do just fine. I hope CCH wins every game but one or two every year.
kentuckyblue Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 The ingredients are all in the kitchen at CCH.:thumb: They sure are.
MJK3490 Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 What does Cov. Cath. have in the Jr. and Soph. classes to be? Even though they jr didnt have a amazing freshman or jv season there are some really talented kids on the team. Kyle Furnish, Mike Jacobs, Austin Schnieder. We willl also be able to fill in the gaps in the o-line with Andy schulte, david moser.
