greendevil Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 highlands really let this one get away from them toward the end of the game in the second half... From what I was listening to it was a lot to do with poor defense and shot selection...
cshs81 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 The difference in the game is simple: Both teams play outstanding D but HHS only has one offensive weapon while CCH has 4 or 5.
cshs81 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 BTW, how nice is it for CCH to have 2 of the top 3 PGs in NKY. TJ was outstanding at the point tonight. His passing was unbelievable.
nptwildcat Posted March 11, 2006 Author Posted March 11, 2006 I was really impressed by the Noll boy for Cov Cath he really stepped his game up tonight

cshs81 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I was really impressed by the Noll boy for Cov Cath he really stepped his game up tonight 30 tonight. 12 in the first qtr. He has been playing well since about the first Holmes game.
colonel-fan Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Highlands has a nice team. They were one more ball handler away from being an exceptional team. Vories impressed me. Nice win for the Colonels. The NewCath game looks to be a good one as well.
cshs81 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Highlands has a nice team. They were one more ball handler away . They essentially play without a PG. Simpson is probably the closest they come to having a PG.
colonel-fan Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Looks like h.s.sportsrbest picked the wrong team in this one.
cshs81 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Looks like h.s.sportsrbest picked the wrong team in this one. ...and he's thrilled to death.
Raiderbback04 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 What a great effort by both teams. Danny Noll gets star of the game tonight with an incredible show. 3rd quarter lightning again for the Blue Colonels. Great season for the Birds.
cch5432 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Wow. Danny Noll 30 points. Who would've thought freshmen year seeing him that he would be a 30 point score someday. Unbelievable. If CovCath plays like they did in the 1st, 3rd, and 4th quarters tonight for an entire game, I don't think anyone in this state can beat them IMO. Lights out.
Raiderbback04 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 The great thing about CovCath is how many guys can step up and have big games. When you combine that offensive balance, with great defense, many threats from 3-ball land and ZERO selfish play, I agree that they have a chance to win state even without a dominant inside player. That being said, I'm sure Coach Listerman has them already thinking NewCath, not Rupp.

Even if he is a 3 point shooter, 15 points came from inside and he does play the 4 position. Also Schult scored 10 so thats 40 points from the 2 big men.
