Where oh where to begin.....

Chime in any time X Nation....

My time at X was great. Never cut, went to dances. Still donate each year. St. X is a great school. However, these threads are about the football teams & games and not education, experience or French Scrabble. Emotional attachement to the Rocks is really my business, but I will share that my sons made the right call for them when it came to high school. What I saw and learned over those years [and I am talking football] has caused me to switch sides of the stadium at Papa Johns. (Pretty good move on my part if you like winning). Plus, after losing a good BGP friend a few years ago there is nobody else to create some hub-bub on here. It's good to see some of the X faithful starting to chatter again. It has been very quiet for the past 2 years.

Almost forgot... have to include my all time series favorite moment...

This is a great post with one exception... IMO Louisville St. X is not the best offense Trinity has faced. Keep in mind Trinity has played Highlands, Brentwood, Cincy St.X, & MBA all of whom IMO have a better offense than Lou X.

Hey Tiger nation... if you are happy with the passing game and the record your team has then by all means enjoy. My point has been for years and again this season that an influx of passing is what X needs to be the top dog. Sure, there have been seasons when the running game brings the trophy to poplar level road, but IMO Trinity would be sharing more of their trophies if X didn't puit all the eggs in that basket. I'm sure all Trinity fans pray Coach Will keeps things the same.

Cincy St.X made the blueprints of how to beat Trinity, and darn near pulled it off. Ball controll... to the point of boring, and defense. Now, the trick is for a team to have all the needed ingredients to do it. Louisville St. X has the gound game tools to pull off the clock grinding phase, but IMO, there has to be some passing involved to make it work. I have not seen a pulse in that department. Still I can see a breakaway TD happening, maybe two. I see the X men scoring more than they have than in the last 2 games, I'll say 17. Now, if they hold T to under 17 they most certainly deserve to win... but the X defense has allowed an unusual amount of points this year, to inferior offenses. Trinity, unless they self destruct, should hang 28+ on the board. So I say X will lead at half 10-9 but the final will be 30-17.

X would score fewer points than all of them.

This is not a fair game.... St.X plays sophomores in the JV games if I recall, while Trinity plays juniors, seniors, alumni, etc. I think Rob Baronis was kicking for the Rocks last night.

Enlighten me who X would beat and how.

If you flip flopped the schedules who thinks Trinity would still be undefeated and St. X would be without a win?

Pretty sure I heard Indiana State had contected him. Trinity deserved the penalties they had called... IMO there were a couple no calls on the home boys.

Trinity needs to stop worrying about tweets and focus on how to stop the Tiger passing game.

The predictions of X scoring 30+ points fell short. Central had 60 more yards of total offense, 5 more first downs but where it counted (on the scoreboard) 14 fewer points. The Tigers made themselves a clear cut, top contender for the 3A crown. Unfortunately they are in 6A and a passing "attack" of 5 attempts, 2 completions and 1 interception for 6 total yards is not going to help them in the grand scheme. To have a chance against Trinity they must find some remote form of a passing game.... this is a recording...

Too many penalties, 2 rare pics thrown and some dropped balls.... still the Rocks find a way to win. Hope the lineman that went down is OK, otherwise the Rocks may be darn near healthy next week. Anyone that thinks the Indy offense was "bad" is sadly mistaken. Finally, did anyone count how many times we learned about Dawkins relatives!!! ha ha ha. Nice win Rocks, on to district play!

I will accept and eat a crow sandwhich if I'm wrong but I do not see X scoring 35+ points in the game. I'm not so sure 35 total points will be scored.

I was trying to be nice AT... making the point that vs good teams he does as well as against the lesser teams. I agree that JJ's and Patrick (not doing so hot at Kentucky) Towles numbers are skewed. Neither JJ nor Mr T would have had the same numbers if they played Trinity's schedule. But to get back on point, Mr. Walker is good.

Yes, it did... on a 3rd and 8 when it counted, X could not even bring themselves to call a passing play! If Central is ever to win this game this is the year. 10 guys back from a defense that lost to X by 1 point in 2011, and they are on a roll. This is like a WKU playing a Kentucky, shouldn't be a worry, but guess what....? P.S. Glad the bananna uniforms have been retired. :banana:

Bad feeling on this one with only one road game thus far and the effect of LOS on a young player. Injury bug hopefully will be small. All the hype of being on TV...etc, etc., not a good combination for a win.
